Imagine you're walking through an intersection and a speeding car approaches toward you. 1. DETECTION : before you're conscious, your retina processes the information (a part of brain outside your skull) 2. REACTION :your Amygdala receives the signal and translates through hypothalamus to pituitary glands within 0.074 seconds. 3. DECISION : Your limbic system has already saved your life . Your prefrontal cortex, the large mass behind your forehead, receives the signal, but now you have to decide consciously how to react- laugh it off? or shake your fist ? All of these happen intuitively

This yellow is not yellow What you see is not always what you think. Your brain is living its own life so remember to challenge what you see. Yes the color. Using Scents to Boost Memory and Performance. Smells are particularly good at bringing back memories. This is because the parts of the brain where the smell is processed, and the parts responsible for processing emotion and memory are closely linked. Other sensory information, such as sight, sound and touch, are processed through the thalamus, like a switchboard, before they get to the memory section, but smells bypass that and go straight there.
