20 January- Penguin Awareness Day Every year on January 20, Penguin Awareness Day is observed. Because humans typically don't live in penguins' natural habitats, the species' annual population decline goes largely unnoticed. This day is a fantastic effort to increase awareness of this important issue. Celebrating Penguin Awareness Day 2024 is all about raising awareness about penguins, their environments, and their reducing numbers in the wild. This can be achieved in many different ways and the important part is getting the message out there that penguin populations are reducing. #PenguinAwarenessDay #DrSureshKPandeyKota #SuViEyeHospitalKota #DrVidushiSharmaKota #viralreels #ViralFacebook #viralreelsfb #viralshorts #viralpage #viralsposts

Happy #ArborDay! A holiday dedicated to planting trees. Unfortunately, urban centers across America have less tree cover, experiencing on average 190 more deaths and 30,000 more doctors’ visits a year than would be the case if they had the tree cover prevalent in majority-white neighborhoods, according to a recent study by Nature Conservancy scientists. Trees improve air quality, reduce heat, and provide numerous other health benefits. . The same study found that the benefits and total economic value of an ambitious national urban reforestation program (adding 1.2 billion trees) would pay for itself through annual reductions in heat-related mortality, heat-related morbidity, and electricity consumption--- and, we get the most value when those trees are planted and cared for in the communities that need them most. . Mike Treglia, Lead Scientist for the New York Cities team spoke with BBC based on his extensive experience mapping where trees can be planted in New York City. Read more on BBC, and find the “Canopy Fact Sheet” for your community district in New York at nature.com/nyccanopy to see how your community can support the Future Forest NYC initiative. . https://nature.ly/3Qn1JPQ

Caring for Earth is Terra Donna Gardens' core mission. It's not "crunchy," "woo" or a trend. It is why we do what we do, and in the process engage, inspire and educate people to be stewards as well, starting with the property they own. Why? Because Earth gives us life. Because Earth gives us beauty. Because Earth gives us joy. Learning that this year's migrating population of Monarch butterflies is down by more than half is a huge concern (More on this via the link below). That's why we deeply believe that converting unused lawn to native gardens it more than a nice thing for us humans to enjoy; it is essential for our fellow Earthly creatures to live. Read more about the To be honest, it is past time that we humans start tending to Earth more than we tend to our interests only. Therefore, we kindly urge everyone who has yard space with unused lawn to convert more of it to native plant gardens this year, which includes shrubs and trees. And to urge those you know, as well. In stewardship affinity, The team at Terra Donna Gardens #butterflies #butterflygardens #Monarchbutterflies https://bit.ly/3Th1uH0

These bricks are helping to save bird populations! This should be a feature and a retrofit on any building still standing. Bird populations are dwindling...Let's do what we can to preserve what's left. Between 1995-2021, the population of Swifts in the UK fell by over 60% This was mostly due to their nesting sites being removed as homes were modernised, and the decline of insect populations which are their primary food source. Thankfully, swifts are able to travel long distances to find their insect food, all they need is a nest site. That’s why ideas like swift bricks and boxes are so important and need to be shared so we can help save this precious species! We all have earth stewardship in our ancestry. A lot of discourse tells us "humans are bad for the planet" and that we are destructive but this is an unhelpful narrative. Humans are animals and all animals have a role in the delicate balance of eco-systems. For most of human history, we have lived in tune with the land and the plants and animals we share it with. All of us have ancestors who had close ties to the land where they were born and learned to survive. We can all reconnect to that role as stewards of the land. Many believe that nature would be better off if humans left it alone and didn't interfere - that to rewild or conserve nature, we need to drive humans out of it. However, Indigenous communities know that people can help nature to thrive - through techniques like foraging, controlled fires and companion planting for example. This is not the time to distance ourselves further from nature, it's the time to reclaim our roles as an innate part of it. #Nature #Biodiversity #EarthDay
