The job market is volatile at the moment (to put it mildly), with many professionals worried about how they will make ends meet after being let go from high-paying positions. Worse yet, there's increasing uncertainty about the availability of new positions. Over the past two days I’ve seen several posts celebrating a single-digit increase (6%) in available content strategy positions. Taken in isolation this may seem reassuring, but at least in some instances the positions being advertised are at the expense of fully remote workers who have been laid off. Let’s be sure to contextualize data like this. While I don’t know the percentage of fully remote content strategists laid off nationally or worldwide, I am positive these layoffs are the catalyst for at least a portion of recently advertised positions. Last week I harped on speed to market for early-stage startup companies but larger enterprises have a similar problem that often stems from key pitfalls in building out a tech team...
