When fog blankets Puget Sound, it sounds like a concert on and near the water. Sirens sing from piers, bells chime on rocking buoys and horns bellow from ships and bridges. But what's the point of all the noise, especially if ships today have radar? Read this post from our archives to find out: bit.ly/3RltAkC.
it seems that in the name of liberality people have lost it all together.
Humans can believe in whatever they want as long as their beliefs do not harm others.
Us Jews, we don't want or attempt to convert anyone into our faith, certainly do not call for the genocide of others, nor do we have a manifest clearly stating our goal is to take over the world by force.
yet somehow we are the villains for trying to protect ourselves in a situation none of you liberals can comprehend, since slavery was abolished!
Dropping 2 Atom bombs on Japan, with innocent civilians - that was ok, right?
It's ok to conquer and colonize the continent of America, condemning the natives to a life of poverty and ghettos forcing them to convert to Christianity, changing their narrative to suit the supreme conqueror right? I have been to the Native American museum in NY. Not a single exhibit before they became christians.
Invading Africa colonizing it, creating the Apartheid regime, condemning the Africans to a life of poverty creating endless rifts between tribes, forcing the natives to either embrace Christ or Alla, all the while their land resources were and still is looted, while they were being sold into slavery that, that is completely justified, or was...but Jews, oh no...they are not entitled to have 1 peace of land for them.
The commonwealth countries are also colonies of the UK.. It was ok to treat human beings as "supply" for the white man...segregating African Americans was also ok and not at all dependent on context...right?
to us, all lives matter, unless we have to defend ourselves, and even then(!!) despite what lies you are fed in your expensive unis, Lives still matter to us. when you allow the calls of genocide of my people, violence and aggression against them, for no reason other than them being Jews, having not so different set of views...and hanging it on context- you are what you try so hard to not be: Racist oppressors who dehumanise people to suit your needs of likes, engagement and a very fat sallary!

Michael Clarke: Sat Aug 26 2023, 6.00pm, The Sunday Times (Michael Clarke is visiting professor in defence studies at King's College London and distinguished fellow at the Royal United Services Institute):
When Yevgeny Prigozhin and Dmitry Utkin founded the Wagner mercenary group and named it after the 19th-century German composer, they probably didn't expect that their own end, in a private jet plunging earthwards, would be every bit as theatrical as one of his fraught operas.
But the Wagner group - if not the name - will certainly live on after them. It represents a style of mercenary activity that has become attractive to those who think they can benefit from the chaos of international destabilisation.
Wagner is only the most recognisable brand amid a dangerous global trend where the privatisation of military force and the outsourcing of national security has become a new norm:

Scaramouche (2x), will you do the Fandango?
Why canonization is bad for culture
I start to get an allergy for the canon of classic rock.
Canonizing reduces the focus to the obvious. The rest of an artist’s work dissolves into the background. Canonizing means that everybody knows a couple of songs by a band or artist and forgets the rest.
Canonizing means that Sultans of Swing is played by countless German cover bands on countless village parties. You will not hear them play Down the Waterline or Lady Writer.
Canonizing means that Aretha Franklin gets reduced to Respect, Think and Chain of Fools. Maybe Say a Little Prayer.
That's it. Classic songs like Angel in the Dark or Until You Get Back To Me dissolve into the background.
Canonizing means that whole oeuvres get reduced to one or two songs, that get played to death on classic radio.
There is more to Queen than Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions. But if you are not a real Queen fan playing all the albums, you will probably have forgotten about this one. Classic Queen but still fresh as not overplayed and over-mentioned. From side 1 of A Day at the Races.
Don’t let your taste in music get canonized!
