Every time I've been in a sales cycle and the rep was transparent about the strengths and weaknesses of their product, I've immediately felt more comfortable accepting all subsequent information as factual. That being said I know how hard it is in today's selling environment to be vulnerable about product shortcomings. However, by being evasive around product capabilities all you'll really end up doing is delaying an inevitable lost deal. Check out Matt Dixon's take on dismantling the "Agency Dilemma".
