Kim Randall's incredible journey, as featured on ReSuit's blog (see link after hashtags). In "Inspiring the Next Generation: Kim Randall's Journey of Growth and Empowerment," I dive into the qualities that make Kim Randall (she/her) an extraordinary leader and mentor. Kim's story is a masterclass in leadership. She exemplifies how being fully present can lead to 40% greater productivity and success. Her resilience and optimism are traits we admire, with research showing that such an approach leads to a 30% higher chance of leading a successful and fulfilling life. Yet, what truly sets Kim apart is her commitment to mentoring the next generation of female leaders. With mentees being 5 times more likely to be promoted, Kim's dedication to empowering others is not just inspiring; it's transformative. Her story is a reminder that true leadership is about balance—knowing when to push forward and when to pull back for the sake of well-being, family, and mental health. It's about setting boundaries, not as a sign of weakness, but as an act of strength and wisdom. Join me in celebrating Kim Randall's journey of personal growth, empowerment, and the courage to continuously evolve. Let's take inspiration from her story to become better leaders and mentors in our own lives. #Leadership #Mentorship #WomenInBusiness #PersonalGrowth #Empowerment Ivey Business School at Western University https://lnkd.in/g_8_ubs7

Graphic Designer, Creative Director, Educator. Sharing my journey with design, leadership, and running a creative business.
Last week, I shared a leadership talk on Chapter 13, "Notes Day" from "Creativity, Inc." by Ed Catmull. In this chapter, Ed discusses a challenge highlighted here: "One of the central tenets of our culture—good ideas can come from anywhere, so everyone must feel empowered to speak up—was faltering" (312). Observation: Despite having a culture value of idea-sharing, people weren't doing it. Question: How can we cultivate a culture where individuals feel empowered to speak their minds? Answer: Lead with trust. How? 1. Prioritize Friendship 2. Value Proximity 3. Embrace Honesty 4. Develop Vision 5. Apologize Quickly 6. Be Vulnerable 7. Win Together 8. Share Struggle 9. Recognize Weaknesses 10. Advocate For Them 🧤 Did I miss one? For more thoughts on these concepts, explore the presentation: https://lnkd.in/e2fBH7q2
