Advanced Manufacturing: At the 2024 SEMI Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Conference (ASMC), key topics included AI, smart manufacturing, and sustainability. Industry leaders discussed the digital transformation of semiconductor manufacturing and the implementation of environmentally friendly practices using AI (SEMI). 2. Compound Semiconductors: Significant progress has been made in 2024 with GaN power electronics and AlGaN UV-C LEDs, which are crucial for applications in EVs and 5G infrastructure. Integration of GaN and InP with silicon is expanding commercial applications due to reduced production costs (Compound Semiconductor News). 3.
