#Technomics is proud to be showing its colors in Minneapolis next month. We’re hot off our 40th anniversary and continuing to do everything in our power to achieve the vision that’s inspired our talented analysts since 2005 -- to raise community of practice standards through honest, innovative analysis that produces realistic answers, advances the state-of-the-art and serves as a benchmark for excellence. Stop by our booth at to meet our 11 paper authors who will be presenting their works, our five cost challenge team members and other employee owners in our contingent of 30 who would love to discuss all things Technomics, including the various technical works featured on one of our big screens. It won’t take long to see why we just completed our 24th consecutive year of profitable growth and have an unmatched track record of ICEAA (International Cost Estimating & Analysis Association) success that includes 39 individual and team awards and 20 best paper awards. We’re proud of our success growing our people, company, and clients, who have come to expect us to deliver differentiated value that our competition simply can’t rival. We’re always interested in talking career opportunities with analysts looking to elevate their games and grow with a company whose future is bright. There is no substitute for technical excellence and Technomics!

This is sure to be an interesting discussion with Edward Ladzinski, Frank Popielas and Greg Garstecki, looking at simulation requirements.
Join the NAFEMS Systems Modeling & Simulation Community Meeting on ‘The Role of Requirements within organisations today’ on Tuesday, 12 September. They will continue their May discussion about the critical role of simulation requirements, featuring a survey and interactive format that delves deeper into the broader ecosystem of requirements outlined in the 'What is Systems Modeling and Simulation' flyer. I am thrilled to announce that our research titled "Understanding co-opetition dynamics in manufacturing value networks: A system dynamics based causal loop diagram (CLD) modelling approach" has been accepted for publication as a book chapter in Springer’s IFIP Advances in Information and Communication Technology (AICT) series with Aylin Ates and Steve Paton Our study constructs a system dynamics model using causal loop diagrams (CLD) derived from an in-depth literature review within the manufacturing sector. Our aim is to comprehensively elucidate the factors influencing co-opetitive relationships and dynamics in manufacturing value networks and business ecosystems. Furthermore, existing literature emphasizes the need for a multifaceted perspective on co-opetition in manufacturing. Our model, developed through consultation of extensive manufacturing and business literature and CLD application, identifies key factors driving co-opetition dynamics in manufacturing and business ecosystem contexts. It represents the first comprehensive content analysis of co-opetition dynamics within manufacturing and business ecosystems via a CLD modelling, serving as a valuable resource for scholars and professionals in the manufacturing and management field.

Do your analysts in engineering, science, and business often solve problems that have already been addressed? Or do they fail to utilize and repurpose valuable insights gained by their colleagues? Are you vulnerable to delays and disruptions when experienced staff leave or are unavailable? Wayne J. Levin, President and CEO at Predictum Inc. shares his thoughts on "Knowledge at Risk: The Hidden Dangers of Tacit Knowledge", check out his latest article recently published in Focus Outlook : https://lnkd.in/eG-S35Es

I am delighted to announce the publication of our recent prospective life cycle assessment (LCA) study on supercapacitor architectures. This paper is the outcome of a productive collaboration between the CyVi Group and the C2M Group in Institut des Sciences Moléculaires - ISM (université de Bordeaux, CNRS, Bordeaux INP). The article covers a comprehensive environmental evaluation of all components and production processes, encompassing assembly and encasing. Additionally, we compare two electrolyte materials and share extensive life cycle inventories as part of the supporting information. Among the first LCA studies on supercapacitors, the article introduces and benchmarks various functional units, such as specific capacitance with respect to the supply voltage, time-restricted power output, and sustained energy delivery for a fixed duration. This exploitation of functional units is particularly valuable for LCA practitioners aiming to conduct their own assessments of supercapacitors, enabling them to choose the most suitable functional unit based on their supercapacitor's intended application. I would like to thank all co-authors for their contributions, namely Edis Glogic, Nilanka Monarawila Keppetipola, Guido Sonnemann, Toupance Thierry, and Ludmila Cojocaru. The article is accessible via the link: https://lnkd.in/ezg-UzaZ

Just found this paper introducing ASA, an innovative portfolio management framework that automates stock selection and allocation using a combination of graph-based ranking models and temporal modeling with LSTM and the Hawkes attention mechanism. The framework demonstrates remarkable growth and resilience even in challenging market conditions. Also, what an interesting data preprocessing approach!🚀📈💼 #AIinFinance #DataAnalysis https://bit.ly/3QcTg0I
