Someone at Netflix posted the message; "We're hiring, check out the role and apply below" Which you know I'm not a fan of! However, that post got: ✅️ Hundreds of likes ✅️ Thousands of views ✅️ Hundreds of applications The same message from another business gets ZERO engagement, and hardly any relevant applications (if any) That's the power of a brand! However, in the D&A world, organisations often mistake having a name that is recognisable versus having a brand that people want to work for Just because you're a recognised; Bank, Insurer, Telco, Retailer, Automotive, etc, doesn't mean D&A professionals want to work for you Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, Google, etc are organisations that put Data & Analytics front and centre of how they operated That's what people want (among many other things) A place that takes Data & Analytics seriously where their work is used and has an impact to drive value People are driven by purpose! That's why if you're not a company like FAANG then you need to aim to be the best of rest The way to do that is build a D&A hiring brand The name above your door is no longer enough, people make employment decisions differently these days Especially D&A people who have historically been burnt by lip-service! #data #analytics #brand #hiring
