"Can we get on a 5-10 minute call before the interview loop?" Such a simple question. It's so simple that 95% of the candidates I work with don't ask it. There are a lot of good reasons why people don't ask it. My encouragement to you is if you aren't getting the results you want from your interviews. Could you be better prepared? Hope this helps! #jobsearchstrategies #interviewpreparation #interviewing

And there goes everything I prepared for the interview - the questions, the research, everything. A tip: unless it really is something last minute, please cancel your interviews - if you have to - with more notice. That way you are helping the recruiter at the same time you are, let’s say, “getting rid” of an interview you didn’t want to participate in. Win-win. We have all been in that nerve-racking interview hot seat, right? Ever been in a job interview and they hit you with, 'Where do you see yourself in 6 years?' Classic, right? But wait, what about life post-interview? This side-splitting video captures that 'aha' moment when you realize there's a whole lot more after you walk out of that interview room. 😅 We have all been there, contemplating the unknowns while trying to nail the perfect answer. Recruiters often juggle a minimum of 5-6 interviews per day, if not more. Last-minute cancellations can be frustrating and create a mess, but we can improve our processes by: - ensuring clear communication with candidates in scheduling emails. I always include a line in invites: 'In case of any changes, kindly cancel in advance / simply message me.' - setting up automated reminders with tools like Calendly, sent the day before or the morning of the interview. - eventually using spare hours for routine tasks lasting 45-60 minutes. While we can't control candidate behavior, effective communication can make a difference. Thoughts?

Avoid the most common mistake➡️ Fail to prepare for an interview. You may think you can just “wing it” but the reality is, you can’t. You may know your experience, knowledge and skills set inside out because you’ve been asked the same or similar questions in the past interviews. However, interview styles are ever so changing - so you must prepare again and again. 📝✍️
