Excited to share that Sinar Harian has recently published my article on 'Adab-adab Musafir Ketika Pulang Raya'!
As we approach the festive season, let's embrace these etiquettes of travelers returning home during Raya. Check out the article for valuable insights.

As we celebrate Raya, it's a time to reflect on the importance of community. Businesses play a vital role, providing essential products and services, creating jobs, and fostering a sense of convenience. During Raya, these values come alive as businesses ensure families have access to festive supplies and contribute to the overall merriment.
While recent events have sparked discussions about certain businesses, it's important to remember the positive impact they can have. Take KK Mart, for example. I may not know the founder, but for years, they've been a pillar in our communities, providing convenient access to groceries and household essentials, especially crucial during festive seasons.
More importantly, businesses like KK Mart create job opportunities for many Malaysians. These jobs put food on tables, books in children's hands, and roofs over heads.
It's important to have open discussions and address concerns.
During this season of reflection, let's cultivate gratefulness not just for grand gestures, but for the everyday contributions that make our lives better.
Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all those celebrating! Happy Holidays to all Malaysians. Maaf zahir dan batin.

HOW SUNDERKAND CHOPAI IS RELEVANT FOR CORPORATE EMPLOYEES:
DOHA 4 OF SUNDERKAND
On one side of the Weighing balance you keep Degrees Earned, Grades achieved & Experience accumulated , the (weight) happiness and power of this is far far less than
If you get Good and True Employer, Good and True Colleagues, who understands you, and you gain something and are reciprocated by adding value in you on the other ( weight )side of weighing balance.
Satsang here means, company of true people ( In corporate ,the employers and colleagues).
In the same way an Ideal employer is the one who is not happy by the turnover but by having honest, true, dedicated employees who should be reciprocated .
Lu Apa Nama?
The reason why there are no Malaysian General Manager permanently attached to any Doubletree Hilton in Malaysia is a good example of what happens when unconscious bias is in place. Sometimes, I think it is just outright actual bias in place. Why? Because the reality is, employees with equal qualifications and skills don't always get equal outcomes when it comes to big brands in Malaysia.
Worse still, the name and its ethnic background in shaping an individual's career opportunities is an often overlooked aspect of the recruitment process. Yet, it plays a critical role in determining who gets a chance to step through the interview door for the big brand hotels. Will a Muthu, Muhammad or Ah Seng get a chance in the near future? Hell no. Perhaps a Malaysian in the future with a name like Johan Harris or Adelina might get a chance to pass the resume review stage.......
Oh no, it's not because of the name or nationality.......we don't hire Malaysians because our expat GMs are more capable and profitable.
Please la, there is a hotel in Butterworth managed by a local GM who has made (and still making) more profit than any of the big brands in Malaysia, pre and post pandemic.....
I made this video for the GM opening at Marriott Indonesia Leader of Tomorrow (MILT) this video shows that everyone has their own starting points to be a top leader.
At the moment you can be a receptionist, a junior salesman, a steward, or housekeeping attendant, but in the future you can be anyone in your dream! To make your dreams come true, you need hard work (yes, hard work GenZ!), sacrifice your time & happiness (sometimes), consistency, and persistence to achieve it.
My notes to the GenZ who enters the professional world especially in the hospitality industry, you can't have your work-life balance sometimes, you have to sacrifice your happiness and personal matters when the client needs you. No room for laziness and 'me' time. Being professional is not an easy peasy process. It requires sweat and blood. It is a scary and competitive world. You will be stabbed, cheated, kicked, or crossed. yes, it is painful. But that's the beauty of it! Never give up and get up stronger! Once you leave your comfort zone, enjoy the roller coaster ride and you will get what you dream of!

🌍 Phạm Kim Châu Đông's Insights: Blending Cultures at Saigon A.I. 🌍
🙋♀️Dong, one of our insightful interns, has noticed some interesting cultural nuances at Saigon A.I. Here's what Dong found:
* Polite Sneezing - When you sneeze, expect a "bless you" and don't forget to say thanks. Politeness even extends to sneezes!🤪
* Monday Meetings - Start the week by sharing your weekend adventures during our staff meetings. It's a great way to build connections. 📅
* Western food does not mix many spices like in Vietnam. 🍱
* Most people bring homemade meals, shared tables, and warm camaraderie. 🍲
* ‘Don't bring work home.’ - A healthy work-life balance, with no work creeping into home life. 🚧
* Slow and steady - Work slowly to understand the problem, not fast because of the deadline. 🪨
* Take a nap on time. - Scheduled breaks to recharge and boost focus. 👣
🌟 🌟 Have you experienced these cultural blends at a blending cultures office!? Share your thoughts and stories! 🌟 🌟
