After many wonderful long years at PayPal I've decided to take on a new career challenge. It has been amazing to be a part of PayPal in Mountain View before it was acquired by eBay, as a combined company, then through the growth after another IPO. To be a part of something that grew from 2M customers to 430M was just incredible. PayPal offered me so many opportunities to grow. I was the fail over heartbeat for CONF, a part of the Technology Leadership Program, a leader in PayPal Here and Merchant, Risk, and Customer Success teams. I had the chance to have multiple careers all within the same company. I will always be grateful for PayPal and it will obviously hold a special place as a major part of my life. Of course the culture and company were wonderful, but it is the people who I've grown so close to that really deserve all the credit. Colleagues from around the world who made the work fun and fulfilling and are now lifelong friends. There were many leaders and mentors who created opportunities, inspired, and challenged me. I feel so lucky to be have been able to work with such an amazing and intelligent group of people who were defining the Fintech industry. PayPal has become a critical part of the overall payments industry and I'm confident the team there will continue to innovate. Thank you PayPal and to all my friends there.
You were my first manager at PayPal. Many great memories. A rocket going astray during our San Jose team building on-site may be my favorite (nearly hit the highway!). Catching you randomly years later at Dish’N Dash by eBay Orchard. You are a great leader and wherever you are going, they are lucky to have you. Best wishes!
Glenn - I will miss you as a friend and colleague more than mere words can express. Your hands-on, fearless leadership and your bias to always do the right thing for the customer will be missed by all of PayPal. You leave behind "unfillably" big shoes on my leadership team. On behalf of Sergey Sukov , Santosh Addanki, Ashraf Karim and Prabhu Janakiraman - thanks for all the great memories, discussions, arguments and everything else. Fly high and make us proud!
Everyone with a tour of duty through PayPal knows Glenn and has a ton of respect for him. Congrats on a long and successful career at PayPal Glen and for the great memories. I hope your next chapter is your best. Matt
Glenn! Together we built a payment platform , on a planetary scale! Never more grateful for your friendship! #CONF,#COWTOWN, #TheBigBlueLine, #PAYPAL_OG.
Glenn, Wonderful memories working with you during early days of PayPal in Mountain View. I still remember our interactions in tuning VCS failover to handling monolith systems. Wishing you great success and all the best.
Glenn you gave a lot to PayPal and working closely a few years during that journey was a pleasure. New horizons await you and I cannot wait to see what you do next. 🚀
