Challenges for LGBTQIA+ people in the workplace persist, as Deloitte’s Global LGBT+ Inclusion @ Work survey found. More can be done, as individuals and as a society. As an LGBTQIA+ ally, I remain steadfast in my commitment to practicing #allyship for my friends and colleagues and continue working toward fostering an inclusive and equitable culture for all. While #PrideMonth is coming to an end, I encourage everyone to continue to lean into how diversity improves our lives and work—not just this month, but every month—and insist upon the freedom for everyone to bring their full authentic selves to work. When we show up as ourselves, we all thrive together. 🙌🌈❤️ #Pride2024

While Pride is a celebration of how far things have come, it’s also a time to reflect on just how much still can be done to advance LGBT+ inclusion in the workplace. According to the Deloitte Global 2023 LGBT+ Inclusion @ Work survey report, the majority of the 5,474 respondents in workplaces across 13 countries say that it’s important to be able to freely express their sexual orientation or gender identity at work, yet less than half are comfortable doing so.
