Former Deloitte Global Chief Talent Officer based in Denmark

My 18 years with Deloitte came to an end last Friday and I woke up on Monday June 3 without a whole bunch of calls and meetings in the diary. It's a strange feeling to start something new, and even stranger when you don't know what that new thing will be. Now I have time to reflect and think about the next steps. Thank you so much to everyone I have worked with at Deloitte over those 18 years both in the UK and Global. It's been an amazing journey. I've been privileged to work with a consistently fantastic team. Together we did some pretty cool things. Thank you! A special thank you to Sharon Thorn for giving me the opportunity to Lead HR in the UK, Margot Thom for brining me into global and Michele Parmelee for inspiring me to be a global leader. Also a big thank you to Deloitte Denmark who made me feel so welcome over the last three years. Here's wishing you all the best, from a very sunny DK! Best Regards Stevan

Wow - how did 18 years go by so quickly? I remember when we shared an office together soon after you arrived at Deloitte. Seems like yesterday 😉♥️

Stevan Rolls. Huge congratulations on a wonderful career. I had the privilege of working with you during the early days, and I learned a great deal from you, not least how to be focused and fun at the same time, how to treat your team and inspire them to perform, how to take your work and clients seriously but not yourself. You have been an inspiration for me Steve, and you above all others helped me to understand what was needed to succeed in the human capital spaces we have since occupied. I am now honoured to call you my friend. I’m also sure I will not be the only person to be saying these things. Enjoy your retirement Steve and thank you for your help, your unwavering support and for some treasured memories. Bill x

Hi Steve - Incredible innings around your achievements here. Even better you now have time for a well earned breather in a wonderful part of the world. Those Andersen days were GREAT. An unstoppable hiring team over scholars, graduates and experienced hires. I can remember that wild time at St. Charles in Chicago . .Game show host entertainment, KISS tribute bands and water pistols at night. . .The mind boggles and never to be seen again! Part of the rich tapestry for your reflections / 😉

Wow! 18 years! I remember meeting you on the first week you joined Deloitte in the office on Farringdon Street before the big move to New Street Square. We talked about the change in structure and building an HR shared services function in MK and was many long days of candidate screening, assessment centres and sleepless nights for me until we got ready for go live! You were very supportive of my development through my time at Deloitte and was a real period of personal growth for me. I can’t wait to see what you do next. Happy to be a tour guide if a trip to Western Australia 🇦🇺 is of interest 😀

Goodness Steve - it only seems 5 minutes ago that you were showing me how to run the Level A course at ASE! I learnt a lot from you and always appreciated you giving me a helping hand when I joined PDI as a new consultant. I was walking on air when I was told that I had been specially requested for a project at Ford. I hope that you have some exciting plans in the pipeline - but for now, if you are resting up - enjoy!

It’s hard to follow 109 remarkable comments, particularly as they soeak so simply and clearly to the impact you have had. Your career to date has been epic, on many levels. You are a great advisor, leader and friend - and I had the pleasure of experiencing all three. I’ve a boat load of respect for you, and will miss working with you. But I am confident you have some great chapters ahead. Take care and come visit NY !
