Hey LinkedIn folks! Happy New Year! What's happening in 2024? My radar is on for what's next. What great places are hiring? I spent the last half of 2023 digging into LangChain, Retrieval-Assisted LLM Generation, integrating LLMS with knowledge graphs, implementing data and response contracts, and training and generating coloring books with Stable Diffusion. I would love to find a principal engineer or engineering leadership role somewhere in close contact with the customer and business value, ideally to work using these next generation tools. The path forward is becoming more and more clear and with iteration and focusing on real use cases, we'll find it. LMK!!

Reflecting on my Experience with ElasticDevs I recently went through a recruitment process with ElasticDevs for a Product Manager role. After a promising start with my resume being selected and initial confirmation of my selection following an interview, I was looking forward to the next steps. However, despite my efforts to follow up via email and HR contact, I faced extended periods of silence. Eventually, after multiple follow-ups, I received notification via WhatsApp that I had not been chosen. When I inquired further, it was clear they were uncertain about why my profile was not proceeding. It was only after I escalated the matter by CC'ing the company CEO, @Shailesh Narayan, in an email that I received a formal rejection, citing a misalignment of my experience with their requirements. This sudden reversal was both disappointing and confusing, especially given the earlier positive indications. What concerns me further is the inconsistent communication and decision-making processes that reflect poorly on ElasticDevs' recruitment methods. Additionally, I've observed that my related posts on LinkedIn have been removed, which appears aimed at suppressing information about these issues. This behavior raises significant concerns about accountability and transparency. I strongly urge ElasticDevs to improve their communication and decision-making protocols and to openly address candidate feedback. A transparent and consistent hiring process is not only fair to candidates but crucial for upholding the company's reputation and fostering trust in potential hires. I wish Glassdoor,Google and AmbitionBox had a negative rating option so that companies like this could be highlighted, warning other candidates not to waste their time with companies where the value and respect for candidates are not upheld. #RecruitmentTransparency #CandidateExperience #Accountability
