Our summer intern program has been in full swing since June 6th, and we couldn't be more excited about their growth and accomplishments. Here’s a glimpse into the first few weeks of our 2024 summer internship program! Our interns kicked off their experience with an after-work social hour at Bowlero in Tysons, VA. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to bond, unwind, and build lasting connections. But, the fun didn't stop there! They participated in an engaging Agile workshop led by our CIO, John Rosenbaum. Through the 99 Test Balloons game, they gained valuable insights into Acceptance Criteria, Testing, and Velocity, making Agile principles come to life in a fun and interactive way. We also had the privilege of having McArthur Newell, II and Patricia Donkor lead a workshop about our EOC (Empower Our Community) network. They introduced our interns to our diverse Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), emphasizing the importance of finding community within the workplace. Our interns learned the value of leaning in, getting involved, and making the most of their summer at Steampunk.
