Emerging trends in the restaurant business were discussed in a great panel discussion led by VonLehman CPA & Advisory Firm at Maplewood downtown, featuring industry leaders. Among the trends/insights: * Boost employee retention by handing out prompt performance bonuses; *$15/hour minimum wage proposal probably on the 2024 OH ballot; *Floor hostesses utilized in addition to wait staff; *Catered luncheons seen as a carrot to getting staff back in the office; *Expansion talk in an uncertain economy-"We're not scared but not crazy."
