Charlotte Tilbury Beauty has entered the world of F1!
This week, Charlotte Tilbury announced a sponsorship deal with @F1 Academy; a female-only racing series designed to develop and prepare drivers for higher levels of competition.
Why is this BIG news?
If we look at the world of F1, it's fair to say we'll likely picture a male in in the driver's seat. So it's really no surprise that, traditionally, sponsorships match that audience...until now!
CT is the first beauty brand and the first female-founded brand to sponsor an element of F1.
With the support, and therefore media coverage, of female sports rising, this is a very clever move by CT. Pair that with the popular 'Drive to Survive' on Netflix and you can see why this partnership, which may seem against the grain at first glance, makes perfect sense.
This powerful partnership will be speeding into view on the track with the 'Charlotte Tilbury operated by Rodin Motorsport' car; which no doubt will become known as the Hot Lips car with the brand's famous icon taking centre stage.
CT's trademark 'make up your destiny' couldn't be a better match for this change-making partnership. I know, along with many others, I'll be rooting for Lola Lovinfosse as she looks to continue her progression.
This beautiful exhibition of marketing has single-handily made me:
A) Interested in F1 and the women within the sport - hello new fans.
B) Order yet another bottle of their Flawless Filter IYKYK - brand loyalty strengthened.
