Last week I co-hosted a webinar “11 Ways to Incorporate Interactive Content in Your Marketing Strategy” and there were a few people in the chat with questions regarding microsites, so let's dive a little deeper!
🤔 So, what exactly is a microsite?
According to an insightful article on Contently (https://lnkd.in/gYiufY-U), it's a standalone, branded content site that exists independently of the company's main page or URL. Its unique feature? It possesses its own distinct URL, often not bearing the name of the sponsoring company.
Essentially, if you've registered a new domain, you've built a microsite.
🤔 How do we use interactive mircosites in our marketing strategy?
At Ceros, we strategically utilize microsites as a potent tool to fuel our Top-of-Funnel marketing efforts and amplify brand visibility. By crafting microsites that focus on topics within or adjacent to our industry, we effectively seize our prospects' interest, subtly intertwining our brand and ushering them towards our primary website for a deeper dive.
Take, for example, this site: https://lnkd.in/gbw4bXUX. We've curated a comprehensive list of the best free creative tools, conveniently categorized for easy browsing. These tools, although frequently utilized by our target audience, don't compete with us directly. As a visitor, you can explore each tool in depth. This microsite could come up in a google search for something less closely related to Ceros like “free audio tools” and once on the site, that visitor can see that it was created in Ceros and click over to our website to learn more. They can also can sign up for our newsletter to see more content like this.
🤔 How do we drive traffic to this microsite?
1️⃣ Organic Social
2️⃣ Email Newsletter
3️⃣ Top-of-Funnel Email Nurture
4️⃣ Sales Outreach
✨ This microsite is a product of the creative genius of Alexandra Wozniczka and Sam Dart.

Ok, #squarespace. I do not get ignored. I am hitting every possible social media outlet, as well as #squarespace job posts until I get some assistance. I am letting people know how miserable their lives will be if they take a job there. Next up I am targeting #Permira, the global private equity firm who helped them go private in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $6.9 billion. #squarespace is a mess right now. The company that I am working with is having to tell all of our clients to move their domains away from #squarespace. Ever since the acquisition of google domains #squarespace has been an absolute disaster. They have shut down all avenues to get support. I have tried everything offered, and many customers are in a bad place right now due to #squarespace’s lack of attention to this. I am going to start posting publicly on any and every platform I can until I get some answers.
