Elon, you’ve even managed to make a rocket go in reverse 🚀🔄. Now it’s time to think about investing, just like in the movie ‘Back to the Future Part II,’ where Dr. Brown converted the time machine from nuclear electricity to garbage electricity. The future is now! Let’s invest in generating electricity by burning municipal waste and recycling electronics and recyclable materials in countries with favorable currencies 🌏💰, creating jobs and value-added products 🛠️. Let’s generate many jobs and clean up the planet! ⚡🚗♻️ #Innovation#WasteToEnergy#Sustainability”

Today kicks off World Space Week, and this year's theme, ‘Space and Entrepreneurship,’ recognises the growing significance of the commercial space industry in space. Perfect timing to spotlight our super spinout, SmartIR Ltd.
SmartIR Ltd have developed breakthrough, graphene-based, smart adaptive tiles to control infrared thermal radiation. Their solutions have far-reaching applications, particularly in thermal management for the fast-growing NanoSat and MicroSat sectors.
SmartIR Ltd. recently took their innovation to new heights (!) through a space balloon mission in collaboration with Sent Into Space. Check out their amazing video capturing these moments here https://bit.ly/3tqi7q7
SmartIR Ltd. isn't just pushing boundaries on Earth; they're extending their reach to the cosmos. Find out more here 👉 https://lnkd.in/de_yHMKU#WorldSpaceWeek#SmartIR#spaceinnovation#Innovation#uominnovationfactory Margherita Sepioni Pietro Steiner, PhD, Laurent Bernard, Coskun Kocabas, Paul Kahn

This is what everybody dreamt of when they stepped into space club-DEVIKA D K and Surya Jayakumar, their excitement, saying repeatedly how distinguished they felt when they were at SHAR.
Space club was a winning phase...
Identifying agendas for the next week, even if we were out of content, we kept going by just being there for the meeting and hear something LIZY ABRAHAM would have to say and stay motivated.
The day Ajina S M asked me to be the coordinator, taking up the responsibilty, working on it, sharing meeting agendas for next one, making sure meeting minutes are shared in the group the day itself to make sure everybody got on the same page....... those were 'intellectually' busy days !
I remember going through an article on Solar flares, on one of my visits to the digital library at college, came to know it's an unmonitored area, and it is a great deal for astronauts out there with a peak intense X-ray hitting them very unexpectedly. The only problem I could see with the idea was, solar flares only occurs occasionally. Any way I decided to present it on one of the meetings, and soon we proceeded with checking the feasibility on developing a system to monitor the X-rays. After a handful of discussions, we understood developing an X-ray sensor that too with space-grade is lil out of budget and won't fit in with the resources we had and that's when LIZY ABRAHAM suggested, why don't we do a feasibility check on UV rays... and the rest is going to be history.
Along with handing over the baton, enlightened us on how to keep the club moving without getting distracted from academics.
1. Form final year project teams within the space club rather than going with friends, which we usually would have done, of course.
2. Take up the ideas we came up with for WESAT, and do research & feasibilty study on it, making it our final year project.
I would really like to share the opportunities that came our way just by being in the club. My core team had Lisha S SSRUTHI SANALHridya Krishnan, took up the application involving atmospheric pollution monitoring, extending the research, trying to see loopholes in the existing system, trying to see significance of each gas present in the air, and so on. Space club was a space were we can talk on ideas without being called nerd. A space to express ourselves, all kinds of thoughts.
With our ongoing research, we applied for KSCSTE grant, tried to get in on KETCON - Kerala Technological Congress, which we did - a delightful trip to GEC, Thrissur.
Me along with Hridya Krishnan won the district level KSEB Seminar competition, participated in zonal level at Alappuzha, and we got appreciated for our presentation skills by professionals. (really going to dig into those certificates.)
And at last, before leaving college, LIZY ABRAHAM came to the class and addressed everyone and I would treasure the words she had for me...
