The Power of a Smile: The Front Desk Administrator's Secret Weapon In the world of business, first impressions matter. When it comes to making a positive initial impact, the front desk administrator plays a pivotal role. They are often the first point of contact for anyone walking through the organisation's doors, and their attitude can set the tone for the entire interaction. This is why having the right attitude as a front desk administrator is absolutely critical. Think of the front desk as the organisation's interface – the welcoming face that represents the company's values and culture. With this in mind, it's not hard to understand why a simple smile when greeting clients can go a long way. A smile: 1. Is contagious and can instantly create a positive atmosphere. 2. Conveys confidence and approachability, which builds trust and confidence. 3. Helps nervous clients feel more at ease. 4. Enhances Brand Image: Reinforces your company's friendly, customer-focused image. 5. Lifts colleagues' spirits, fostering a more pleasant workplace. 6. Can help navigate challenges more effectively. Remember, even when life gets tough, a smile can make a world of difference. Your attitude is your superpower as a front desk administrator. Keep smiling and brightening up every interaction! #CustomerService #FirstImpressions #SmileAtWork

Working with this particular client gave me so much room to learn and unlearn as a short term rental VA. I was able to manage their 11 properties using hospitable as their PMS and pricelabs. Below was my daily task👇👇👇👇 *Checking Checkins and checkouts *Updating Calendars and Cleaning Schedule *Check Messages *Responding to reviews *Follow up on Maintenance Issues with both guests and the maintenance team. *Manage and review cleaning schedule *Constantly checking Minut device for noise alerts * Revenue reports *Scheduling laundry pickups and making sure it's up to date. *Problem solving, compiling a list of guest complaints and deciding how to best to solve it I'm that virtual assistant you should have among your team. I'm passionate about short term rental and go beyond to make sure your guests have a 5 star review. #virtualassistant #shorttermrental #vacationrental #PropertyManagement

The first thing you should always remember as a receptionist, front desk administrative assistant, etc... how you greet the patient, customer, guest is going to dictate how their entire visit will be. YOU are the face of the company. We all have bad days but as a front desk person you have to leave that at the door and put a smile on your face, treat people as you would like to be treated and remember to BE KIND, you don't know what that person's life is like outside of the few minutes you speak to them. Coming into your place of business could be the highlight of their day because they are alone otherwise. #bekind #frontdeskadministrativeassist #treatpplhowyouwanttobetreated #asmilegoesalongway

Front Desk Diaries🛎️ Let me give you a sneak peek into the world of being a Front Desk wizard in the hotel realm. 1. Key Card Chronicles: Ever feel like a high-tech wizard when you hand out those room keys? It's all fun and games until a guest tries to unlock their door with a credit card, a library card, and what seems to be a grocery store discount card. 2. Small Talk Tango: Engaging in small talk is an art form. I've discussed the weather so much that I'm considering applying for a meteorology degree. 3. Lost in Translation: Deciphering reservation notes is like solving ancient riddles. "Guest prefers pillows shaped like dinosaurs" – challenge accepted! 🦕 4. Elevator Diplomacy: Convincing the elevator to cooperate during peak hours is like negotiating a peace treaty. "Please, dear elevator, one more guest won't hurt!" 5. Unpaid Early Check-In/Check-Out Comedy: Unpaid early check-ins and check-outs are our special comedy feature. It's like announcing a surprise exam – suddenly, everyone becomes a master of selective hearing, as if the term "additional charge" is a foreign language! 🤷 6. Dilemma: Explaining the concept of payment for early check-ins and late check-outs is an intellectual challenge. It's like asking a cat to solve a Rubik's Cube – confusion, wide-eyed stares, and an impressive display of pretending to not understand basic transactional language! 🤯💳 7. Smile Stamina: Ever smiled so much that your face feels like it's auditioning for a toothpaste commercial? Front desk life, where we're always camera-ready for guest arrivals! 😁 8. Coffee, My Precious: Coffee is the elixir of front desk survival. It fuels our enthusiasm for check-ins, helps us decode cryptic notes, and enables us to perform magical acts of hospitality. Here's to the Front Desk warriors – the unsung heroes of hospitality, the masters of multitasking, and the keepers of the hotel realm's sanity! 🏨💼 #FrontDeskFun#HotelHumor
