This June, Sony Music Group proudly celebrates Pride Month. As we honor the innovative creativity and indelible impact of LGBTQ+ identifying people, we also challenge ourselves to reimagine what it means to be an ally to everyone part of this multifaceted and vibrant community. Sony Music Group is embracing a singular, unifying theme for every heritage acknowledgement and celebration in 2024: Reimagining CommUNITY. Inspired by the art we create, music can help us strengthen our connections to the people and cultures around us, so everyone can belong and thrive.

America is at a critical juncture when it comes to LGBTQ safety and support. At GLAAD, we know that fair and accurate representation in media and journalism have a powerful and measurable effect on the lives of LGBTQ people. While support for LGBTQ equality has reached an all-time high, allyship must turn into action. This June, media, content creators, and corporate leaders must lead and respond to hate with undeterred support for the LGBTQ community, including LGBTQ employees, shareholders and consumers and protect all that the LGBTQ movement has accomplished. https://lnkd.in/eZt3ccS6

If you want to know why I joined the GLSEN board, this video should explain the reasons and how you can help too.
33 years ago, in response to the boldness and bravery of queer youth in schools, GLSEN was founded by a group of teachers. As of today, we have reached millions of students across the country. Thank you to our community of advocates and allies for rising up and showing up for LGBTQ+ Youth. It’s people like you who are making history.

LGBTQ Denver by Phil Nash, to be released by Arcadia Publishing on April 22, 2024, is a pictorial history documenting the development of Denver's LGBTQ community, primarily from the 1970s forward. Featuring nearly 200 images curated from historical archives, organizations, amateur and professional photographers, and the author's own collection, LGBTQ Denver tells a visual story about a midsize Western city's evolution from its repressed and closeted past to its status today as one of the most LGBTQ-friendly cities in North America.
