A transformational experience can be defined as one that fundamentally challenges a person’s assumptions, preconceptions, and biases, as well as their beliefs and values. Potentially affecting how they understand themselves, others, and the rest of the world. This past week, I spent 4 days with some of the best humans this country has to offer during module 1 of the Stand To Veteran Leadership Program at the George W. Bush Presidential Center. This was just step 1 of the transformational experience this program will provide for me and others. The future is looking brighter for a world that has been pretty dark lately.
