WooCommerce might seem appealing, but remember: it's a plugin, not a platform. That means taking on the headaches of hosting, constant plugin updates, and potential compatibility issues – it's just time that could be spent on something else. Shopify, on the other hand, offers an all-in-one solution with built-in features and easy updates. --- https://coldsmoke.co/

Just gave License Server's homepage a big facelift using Elementor. Wanted to keep the information simple: 👉 Offering 👉 Mission 👉 Top features 👉 Installation process I also threw some #WooCommerce purple into the color scheme. I think it adds a nice pop and makes us subtly seem more integrated in the ecosystem. What think? This is honestly the first home page I've written and designed in its entirety. <Sell> Are you a WooCommerce plugin or theme dev interested in licensing your own products? Try licenseserver.io, one of the most cost-effective, feature-rich WooCommerce licensing products on the market. Our founders used it as an internal tool for their own plugins before putting it on the open market. Start selling in minutes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gAWZcfUh

CEO DevriX & Growth Shuttle | Business Growth Advisor (400 SMEs) | Author "MBA Disrupted", Angel Investor
Thanks Pagely® for featuring DevriX in your latest business showcase this week! 🚀 I recall meeting Joshua Strebel at WordCamp San Francisco back in 2012-2013 at an after party. We worked with other hosts at the time. 📶 But in 2015, an enterprise media network we serviced for a few months struggled with latency and faced regular service interruptions at scale. Stanko Metodiev and I decided to give Pagely a shot and carried the complex migration over, with load balancers and high availability on top. In the couple years that followed, we hosted 7 other high-traffic websites, serving a total of 2 billion monthly page views together on top of Pagely's AWS-based infrastructure. 📈🧑🏫 We've been through Black Friday campaigns and Christmas traffic spikes together, several migrations, multiple DDoS hack attempts, and even scaling a publisher up to 976 million monthly views. 🤯 📣 Arman Zakaryan and his team worked with Stanko Metodiev and our engineering department for a large global franchise network, making it possible to host 2 WordPress multisite networks under the same domain, with subdomains and subfolders rendering from different instances. When it comes to tens of thousands of concurrent website users or tens of millions of GMV sold through WooCommerce, we've consistently made it possible together.

Seamless Shopify migrations to boost online sales 🛒 | Ecommerce Growth Strategist for Ambitious Brands 🚀
Today I was reminded why I now LOVE Shopify so much. I have a client on WooCommerce. Through no fault of their own, a payment failed for a plugin license renewal. No notification, or warning... The plugin has some how managed to deactivate and break their checkout. Meaning they haven't been able to take any orders today. It was such a simple plugin that had nothing to do with the checkout. But instead powers extensive user roles. Why does WooCommerce/WordPress need such clunky plugins to allow the most simple functionality? It's great to have open source platforms. But I'm losing faith in the 'plugin for everything approach'. Especially when these plugins have access to derail businesses as such. The sky is the limit, but you don't always have to reach the sky for success.
