In a fireside chat with Infosys co-founder and Aadhaar architect Nandan Nilekani, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi acknowledged the difficulties faced by the company in the Indian market. Today, Zetwerk employs ~2k individuals and is valued at ~$2.7 Billion. Amrit's framework for moving back to India👇🏼 Returning to India was a pivotal moment for him. When Amrit returned to India, the first thing he did was reconnect with friends and colleagues from his past. He dialed in Srinath Ramakkrushnan. And the rest is history in the making. They both realized they wanted to create something together, and it was a massive stroke of luck that they were on the same page. Starting a company would have been much harder without this alignment. He is grateful to have had the support of McKinsey, which allowed him to take a sabbatical to explore this new path.
