Running a review campaign soon? Joe Kevens recently picked my brain on review campaigns. We talked about: - How to prioritize reviews as part of your advocacy mix - Considerations in the review generation process - To spiff or not to spiff - How to respond to reviews (especially negative ones 😬 ) - How to use reviews in your marketing content And more! Honestly, best interview to date. Joe did an incredible job pulling from the CMAweekly Slack and my LinkedIn. 🔥 You can read the whole interview (including examples) here: https://lnkd.in/eicy9Sjh Thanks, Joe, for the chance to share what I've learned so far! #CustomerMarketing #CustomerAdvocacy #VoiceOfCustomer

Is it okay to use a customer success story after the customer churns? You’ve got a great story from a big-name company that you worked really hard to create and get out into the world. But they didn’t renew. Now what? Can you keep using it? Do you need to anonymize it? Or should you remove it altogether? Here’s a helpful way to think about it: If a prospect were to see the story and reach out to the former customer through a backchannel… 👉 What would the former customer say about you and the relationship? 👉 And how would they explain having such a great customer success story but not renewing? Unless you are completely confident your former customer will continue to sing your company's praises… …you’ll most likely want to remove the story or anonymize it. Bonus tip: When thinking about which stories to create, prioritize accounts that have at least 1 to 2 years left in their contract. What do YOU do with the story when a big-name customer churns? P.S. Tomorrow I’ll share my thoughts on what to do when you still have your customer, but the “hero” of the story moves on from the company.
