[FSD Reflection] Explore The Beauty Tech Landscape with L'Oréal 💄✨
The beauty industry is always "on the move", driven by the evolving needs of our customers. Today's beauty lovers are all about that seamless, personalized, sustainable, and inclusive experience. And guess what? This demand has given rise to the incredible world of beauty tech! The global revenue for beauty tech skyrocketed to a whopping $3.8 billion USD in 2021, with a remarkable CAGR of 18.8% (Caliò and Şabanoğlu, 2022).
As a beauty tech enthusiast (who devoted my final assignment essay to writing about beauty tech and L'Oréal), I was thrilled to listen to anh Chau Huynh - Talent Acquisition Manager at L'Oréal sharing about the beauty tech landscape and L'Oréal.
✨ What impressed me the most is L'Oréal’s quote “Freedom to go beyond, that’s the beauty of L'Oréal”. L'Oréal empowers employees (and candidates) to be completely themselves, take risks and create the unthinkable.
✨ A small detail that inspired me a lot: Although L'Oréal focuses on the beauty industry from the very start, L'Oréal “chooses the battle” wisely to strive for better growth. L'Oréal chooses to “play” in the FMCG playground, competing with FMCG giants so that the company is not in its comfort zone and is always “fast-moving”.
Listening to anh Chau Huynh’s sharings about L'Oréal, even though it was an online session, I can feel the enthusiasm and pride that he has when working at L'Oréal. It was so inspiring for young people like me.
