Check out this footage from Andy Starnes from Insight Fire Training during a thermal rebound drill. In this video we can see that there is a large amount of heat moving above the firefighters heads that the AttackPRO makes visible once flames are cooled. Understanding the importance of using a TIC during rapid changing fire conditions is crucial in order to ensure complete extinguishment. #seekthermal #seetheunseen #thermalrebound #thermalcamera #firefightersafety

Assistant Manager Production at Gujarat fluorochemicals limited | "The process safety hub" Youtube channel owner | certified Internal IMS auditor
#firefighter #firefightingskill #techniques #skill that are used here in this video is very good to understand. follow on youtube for more such contents: https://lnkd.in/dED5JxXm In the provided situation there are chances of #BLEVE. but this can be controlled by cooling down the vessel temperature. so providing direct flow on the vessel will help to cool down the vessel. mean while creating umbrella curtain will help to go near by the target tank by keeping cool down firefighters. and in the end after attending valve and again cooling to the vessel it will help to cool down vessel again. Remember water will not extinguish this kind of hydrocarbon fire. it will only help to keep cool down the higher temperatures.

Fire growth isn't just a single trajectory, it's influenced by many variables. Some of these include the size and volume of the compartment, ceiling height, heat release rate of fuel package, location of fuel and ventilation. Great Turnout Gear and an exceptional Fire Captain is what kept everyone safe from this blaze. It went from 500-900 degrees in a few seconds (TIC reading of the ceiling temp) and the captain ordered everyone out... a true testament to the dangers firefighters face and the reason it’s extremely important to choose the RIGHT turnout gear for your department's needs. This captain left with only a small burn on his arm and no discoloration to his gear. It's moments like these that attest to Fire-Dex's heat threshold. Fire-Dex's TECGEN71 is the ONLY outer shell that can be paired with the lightest thermal liners and moisture barriers available on today's market due to its increased breathability and thermal protection.

Attacking a Basement Fire? Many NIOSH reports reveal that fire departments do not conduct an adequate size up or fail to identify the fire in the basement. In many of these cases, they enter above the fire. Through proper interpretation of thermal data, firefighters can identify heat signatures known as "thermal bridging" and identify flow path indicators such as a full exhaust. This one-minute video is an example of a basement fire and how a size-up that incorporates thermal data can enhance fireground strategies tactics and save lives! How Field of View Equates to YOU! The average human field of view is 60 degrees vertically by 170 degrees horizontally. Once a firefighter dons their facepiece, they lose approximately 50-70 degrees horizontally. They lose even more once they place a TIC in front of their face! Do we know the field of view of our TIC? Do we know how to scan using this device to our advantage? Do we know that by flipping the TIC sideways, we gain between 9-15 degrees field of view, allowing us to see the floor and the ceiling in one view? Learn more with us! Stay Intelligently Aggressive!
