Very smart move by SAP from what I can tell. SAP, Salesforce, Oracle and the like often get a bad rap for user experience, but they have robust, well-developed design systems and front-end frameworks. Yet, users are often disappointed. Why? The extreme level of customization is a double-edged sword that often hurts their usability and therefore overall UX.
