Made my first game!
It was an incredibly fun and enlightening journey, all thanks to the amazing tutorial by Coding with Russ. I couldn't have done it without his wonderful guidance.
As someone who aspires to be a well-rounded product manager, I believe it's crucial to be at the intersection of design, engineering, and business. The best way to truly understand each aspect is to walk in the shoes of business managers, UX engineers, and software developers.
In this project, I dived deep into the world of game development, learning about game physics, animations, graphics, and so much more. It was fascinating to see how each element comes together to create an engaging experience.
Throughout the process, I constantly thought about how to enhance the game, add new features, and even considered marketing strategies. I pondered over how to make the graphics more appealing, what new dynamics could be added, and how to ensure the game resonates with players from both a technical and emotional standpoint.
This hands-on experience allowed me to live a glimpse of a product manager's role in the gaming industry, which was incredibly cool! Gaming has always been a part of my life, from Activision Blizzard 's Call of Duty, Electronic Arts (EA) ' s FC24 (formerly known as Fifa), Ubisoft 's Assassin's Creed to Nintendo 's Mario Kart, Rockstar Games 's GTA, Sony PlayStation 's Uncharted and so on. Combining my love for games with my passion for product management has been a super cool experience.
To be a great product manager, one must empathize with stakeholders and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences. This project was a step towards that, getting my hands dirty and understanding the intricacies involved.
I'm excited to share my learning journey on GitHub. Feel free to check out my project and the attached files: https://lnkd.in/gbH9nARU
