Non distributed systems can scale to an extent only. That's why Distributed systems come into picture for: > Scalability > Fault Tolerance > High availability > Big Data Processing If you really want to design a big scalable application like ride/sharing, big data processing, you need to understand the fundamentals of the "Distributed Systems" and how the systems are designed and planned using that pattern! #scalable #highavailability #designpattern

Learn about the power house of real-time data that your application publishes! Kafka is a distributed event streaming platform that goes beyond traditional messaging queues. Kafka ensures high throughput and offers durability and fault tolerance, making it an industry standard for real-time analytics, monitoring, and data lakes. While traditional queuing systems provide a mechanism to manage a series of messages, Kafka revolutionizes this by enabling the processing of massive streams of events. It does this while also maintaining order, ensuring once-only delivery, and allowing for data storage and retrieval. Its publish-subscribe model is particularly powerful, accommodating a decoupled system where producers and consumers can operate independently. However, with the richness of its capabilities, Kafka can be intricate to understand, especially when it comes to data packet distribution. When I went through this simulator, it became very easy to plan. Are you a techie? follow @Rohan Ishwarkar for the upcoming posts #dev #kafka #tech #systemdesign #softwaredeveloper

ZBUS is a project that aims to create a federated observability solution. In a federated observability architecture, multiple instances of the monitoring platform are combined through a real-time PUB/SUB/STORE/GET telemetry bus. This approach provides a more straightforward way to scale the platform's functionality and capability. ZBUS offers a programmatic approach to generating, computing, and analyzing telemetry data through telemetry pipelines and a scripting language designed for telemetry processing. The most recent iteration of ZBUS Universal Data Gateway introduces a JSON-RPC service. This service enables users to utilize any JSON-RPC client to query the following data on a telemetry bus: - The most recent value for the submitted telemetry - The most recent samples (up to 128) of values of submitted telemetry - A comprehensive list of metrics that have been delivered to a telemetry bus Details about the release and access to the source code can be found here: https://lnkd.in/gHinn4uB #zabbix #observability #zenoh #monitoring #telemetry #jsonrpc #api #logsprocessing #leadingtech
