The recruiter bashing on this platform is just insane. Lately, I’ve been stumbling across posts that suggest the role of a recruiter is somewhere between a psychic, a miracle worker, and, oh, let’s not forget, a part-time magician. The expectation? Read minds, foresee the future, and maybe, just maybe, master the art of levitation in our spare time. A recruiter's true quest is to unearth that elusive gem—the most qualified candidate for the job. If you’re not getting that interview call, it’s not personal; it's not magically gone wrong—it's just that you weren’t the right fit at this moment. Instead of pointing fingers at the recruiter for not wielding their magic wand in your favor, how about taking a step back? Reflect on what might have made you seem like less of a fit. It’s not about casting spells or pulling rabbits out of hats; it’s about aligning the stars just right for both the candidate and the company. Yes, recruiters can find that needle in a haystack, but our real magic lies in understanding needs, nurturing relationships, and making connections that matter. So before you blame the recruiter for not seeing your sparkle, ask yourself: What can I do differently next time to shine even brighter? Remember, recruiting is not about making the impossible happen with a flick of a wand. It's about finding the right fit at the right time. So, let's not wait for a magical solution—take action, seek feedback, and be ready when the stars finally align. #DoBetterPeople #recruiterlife

Hello Network Just sharing Thoughts 💭 Talent Acquisition: my perspective from both sides of the table. A recipe with three key ingredients, plus a pinch of salt. Curiosity, active listening and human touch And that pinch of salt? It's all about staying organized. - Curiosity 🙇: Keep asking questions, share your thoughts, and dig deeper. - Active Listening 🤐 Just close your mouth, tune in, and try to really get what the other person is saying. It's not always a piece of cake. -Human touch 🤗: This one's my favourite! Forget the formalities and chat like a regular human being. Building trust and having meaningful conversations is where it's at. Have some fun, if you can 🙌 When it comes to organization, it's absolutely essential, and I know I've got a lot of room for improvement here! That's it! Still navigating in this ocean 🌊, not fully explored yet. Other ingredients to add? I'm sure that there are a lot more! #talentacquisition #recruitment #humanresources #hr #careers

🎬 Lights, Camera, Reflection! 🍿 Hope everyone's having a fantastic Wednesday! 🌟 So, last night, I found myself on a little nostalgia trip down memory lane with some classic comedies/rom-coms. Friends with Benefits popped up on my screen, and it hit me right in the feels. 📺 One thing that stood out was Mila Kunis's character, an executive recruiter. It made me think about how much the perception of recruiters has likely evolved over the years. 🤝 In the past, recruiters were often perceived a suit-wearing professionals who made candidates sweat bullets, or in the case of the movie, a bit of a romanticized head hunter. But today, the game has changed, my friends. 😎 Recruiters are like the matchmakers of the professional world, connecting amazing talents with awesome opportunities. We're not just the gatekeepers; we're the enablers of dreams and careers. 🚀 And it got me thinking, maybe it's time to bring back some fun into the hiring process. Maybe not quite a flash mob for our candidates but hey, I'm not opposed 🤣 Let's keep evolving, challenging stereotypes, and infusing a little humor into our work. After all, a little laughter and spontaneity can go a long way, even in the world of recruitment. So, what's your take on the bringing in some fun ideas to the recruitment process? 🕺💃 I wanna hear MORE fun ideas, let's keep the conversation going! Here's to rewatching old comedies and finding inspiration in unexpected places. 🍻 #RecruitmentRevolution #ChangeMakers #FlashMobForCandidates #LetsHaveFunAtWork

🌟 Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of the hiring process? Last week during a client meeting 👩💻 , I heard: "We're just afraid of not hiring who we really need, maybe we are just not ready yet." YES! Impostor Syndrome doesn't just affect candidates; it's also a reality for hiring teams🤔 Hiring teams are just as human as candidates. They worry about making the right decisions, about being good enough for the brilliant minds they want to attract. Imagine if candidates could see this human side before walking into an interview. Perhaps, they'd feel less intimidated, more confident. 🌈 Hiring is a two-way street. 🔄 Candidates, remember you're assessing the company just as much as they're evaluating you. This perspective empowers you, reduces the nerves, and levels the playing field🤝 At Hophr, we’re dedicated to bridging these human connections, guiding both clients and candidates to find their perfect fit. Ready to embark on this journey with us? Let's connect. 🚀 #DataScience #RecruitmentInsights #ImpostorSyndrome #HiringProcess #CareerEmpowerment #recruitment

𝗠𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗵𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿: 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟰 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 Just as my stomach immediately reacts to cheap & bad wine, I sometimes get a bad stomach feeling while speaking to a candidate (sorry for the comparison 😅). Recruitment is much more than stomach feelings. It's detailed research, long talks, analysis, understanding, exchanges, listening, verifications... But if I get this weird feeling in my stomach, I've decided to trust it. It's no good ❌ Three weeks ago, I had this feeling. I didn't tell my new client. He was over-excited and happy. But just a few days later, the candidate started to mess around with us 😠 ... and we had to start all over again. Such a loss of time. I felt so stupid for not sharing my "stomach feeling" 🙄 I have a regular client, a scale-up, who totally trusts me when I have this stomach feeling. Whenever the head of recruitment sees me hesitating and not finding the words, she knows it: "No, Tine, if you don't feel it, let's not go further. I trust you." 🤝 It's an awesome feeling to be trusted. Trust your stomach feelings. And remember, don't trust cheap wine. 🍷 Want to know more? Recruiters: they can be a tough bunch to navigate, right? We've all had those moments where we feel like we're shouting into the void, hoping for just a smidge of acknowledgment. And let's face it, bad behavior is just bad behavior. Ghosting? Not cool. Keeping someone in the dark about their application status? Not okay either. But hey, here's the scoop: recruiters are people too! Imperfect, mistake-making, regular ol' humans. No excuses here, just a little reminder that kindness and communication go a long way. Now, let's chat about something real. Can we talk about the rollercoaster of candidate behavior? As a recruiter, I'm all about connecting. I thrive on finding that perfect match, the one where skills meet culture seamlessly. It's like a puzzle, and when it clicks, it's magic! But you know what stings? Ghosting. No-shows. And the dreaded disappearing act after landing a job. Ouch. In a market like ours, isn't it time we band together? Let's ditch the blame game and focus on solutions. Because guess what? We're all in this together. It's a two-way street, folks. Communication and commitment? They're the glue that holds this process together. So, how about we flip the script? Instead of pointing fingers, let's brainstorm. Let's make this platform a positive space where we lift each other up, where we share insights, and where we genuinely help one another succeed. Who's with me? Let's make magic happen, one connection at a time. ✨ #PositiveVibesOnly #RecruitingCommunity
