Day One of Talent Acquisition Week in the books and it was jam packed with so much valuable information! 🛑 Employers, here is my high-level recap: 1️⃣ Your recruiters are only scratching 1/10 the surface if relying only on your ATS to "find" candidates. There were tons of FREE job board hacks, in-mail hacks, and tips on ways to search beyond paywalls of sites to source/connect with niche talent. This will be a huge benefit to your TA team. 2️⃣ Candidate Trend # 1 - Major-Specific Career Fairs are overtaking campus-wide fairs. If this is part of your recruitment strategy, time to re-evaluate. 3️⃣ Candidate Trend # 2 - Gen Z candidates would like companies to get back to them within 5-7 days with the entire interview process being completed within 1 month. Does your process align with these expectations? 4️⃣ AI Tools to consider for enhancing your TA Function: Mojo AI, RippleMatch, Qualifi and one of my favorites continues to be Eightfold. 5️⃣ Channel Strategy- It is critical to add an engagement strategy to your TA Function to nurture your talent community. It’s never good when candidates cancel their interviews, but what I always keep in mind is that if they truly wanted a new opportunity they would attend. I don’t have time for people who waste mine. If you are serious about finding a new role then get in touch. If you are actively applying for roles on your area then it might be better to wait and see what happens with them >>> before contacting a specialist recruiter. This is because there’s a pretty good chance you will have already applied for the roles. Now on the other hand if you don’t want to be the one searching for a new job, trying to find the one that’s best written and judging if it might be a good company…then don’t, simply don’t apply for jobs.
