It's been a couple of years since I was scraping the IT jobs for the Tulsa Metroplex and boy how things have changed. Quite a few small companies have either been acquired or (apparently) just gone out of business. If we use this week as a snapshot the total number of open IT roles being advertised is down almost 20% from where we were back when I was doing this before... in the middle of the pandemic. The big winner in terms of the NUMBER of open jobs at the moment appears to be infrastructure - helpdesk, networking, servers, etc. Almost half of all the jobs I found fall into that category. Unfortunately, pay for these open positions is low - often hovering at or below $20 an hour for help desk. There are 21 developer roles. Most but not all are .NET, but there's also a Flutter role and one for Ruby on Rails. Chances are if you're working with those you already know who those two companies are. There are two PM roles - One at Targa Resources and one at the City of Tulsa. Several places are looking for people to help them with their data. The widest range of roles related to data seems to be over at Vital Energy Anyway, give me a follow if you want to see more information about what's going on in technology around Tulsa.

On the 21st of November, a client I'd worked with exclusively since 2018 asked me to fill three roles for them. 1. Infrastructure Engineer (Never worked one before) 2. Senior .NET developer (Bread and butter role for me) 3. Senior Angular Developer (Worked these roles before but didn't have a big network) Fourteen days after starting, I'd placed an infrastructure engineer. I finished for Christmas on the 19th of December, so with candidates in the process, restarted in January. On 5th January (32 days after starting), the senior .NET role was filled. On 19th January (46 days after starting), the trickier senior Angular dev role was filled with someone who could start immediately. Over the 6.5 weeks I'd worked on the roles, I'd sent 15 CVs. The client had a two-stage process and interviewed 13 of them, filling all the roles from that pool. How does that compare with the PSL you have at the moment? If this is much better than your suppliers deliver, what are you waiting for? Wouldn't you prefer a recruiter who can deliver high-quality, engaged people faster? Wouldn't you like to enjoy it instead of being gripped with an icy dread every time you know you have to recruit? It's just a DM, email or call away. ---------------------- 👋 I'm Simon ⌛ Software hiring managers use the time I save to take up hobbies like candle making, extreme ironing and writing snippy TripAdvisor reviews. 🧒 Devs name their kids and AIs after me.

Hello everyone "Thrilled to share a recent technical challenge as a Full Stack Developer! We were tasked with implementing a real-time data synchronization feature to ensure seamless updates across multiple user devices. Leveraging WebSocket technology and a robust backend architecture, we aimed for instant data reflection without delays. However, ensuring data consistency and managing WebSocket connections at scale posed unique hurdles. We optimized code for efficient message handling, implemented connection pooling strategies, and fine-tuned infrastructure for top-notch performance and reliability. I'm currently on the lookout for Java Full Stack Development roles, eager to bring my expertise in real-time solutions, backend optimization, and collaborative problem-solving to new challenges! Let's connect and discuss opportunities! 🌟 #RealTimeDevelopment #Innovation #TechChallenges #JavaFullStack # #JobSeeking"
