Time for a personal update. After 3 great years at Okta, I've decided to try something new and will be joining Docusign in early August as their CTO. It has been an amazing ride and experience at Okta. When I left Google after 15+ years, I wasn't sure what to expect in the world outside the Big G. But Okta was a great mutual fit right from the very start. Todd McKinnon, Frederic Kerrest, and the entire team at Okta welcomed me and made me feel right at home. Their focus on the customer, continuous push for innovation, and building products, systems and teams that scale really connected with me. The last 3 years flew by. Be it building new governance, privileged access and threat protection products to continued innovation in the IDaaS and orchestration offerings to rolling out a new and powerful platform - we got a lot done and had a lot of fun doing it. Which is why now felt like a good time to move on and try something new. I'm very thankful to Todd, Freddy, the entire leadership team at Okta, my amazing team and every Oktanaut for making my time at Okta so much fun. The criticality of Identity and its role in security and running efficient modern organizations is only increasing. I’ll continue to root for Okta, and I eagerly look forward to all the excitement and continued innovation in this space. This brings me to the next chapter of my journey at Docusign. I've always been a fan of this iconic company and its massive impact and reach. The prevalence and criticality of intelligent and efficient agreement management is growing by the day. Allan Thygesen is someone I've always admired and when we chatted about the future of Docusign and how transformative AI-powered agreement management can become, I felt I had to be part of that journey. He has built a great leadership team at Docusign and in all my conversations with them, the excitement and belief in the company and where it's headed echoed. There's a lot to learn, a lot to do, a lot of impact to be made, and a lot of fun to be had — I’m really looking forward to that. I'm going to take some time off in July to recharge a little bit before starting at Docusign. Fun fact: I literally had a 2 day break between leaving Google and joining Okta and wanted to do it differently this time around. I'm looking for suggestions for books (I'm still trying to do my book-a-month thing but can probably speed that up in July) as well as any fun and productive activities/projects that people have picked up during breaks and transitions. So please keep the recommendations coming! #grateful #humbled #excited

Congrats Sagnik and I wish you the best at DocuSign! As far as transitions, my experience was similar when I went to Okta from Intuit so since leaving Okta have also decided to recharge. Personally I've used the transition time to coach youth sports, take on a number of woodworking projects, get heavily involved in my local community and their annual festival (was it's 102nd year), and spend as much time outdoors as I can in state and national parks (just ran the Narrows in Zion a couple days ago and finally tackling Angel's Landing this weekend)!

Congratulations Sagnik. This is so exciting. As someone in real estate investing I have always enjoyed electronic signing. Can't wait to see what is next on that front. As for recommendations I have have got plenty. I recently read the code breaker and it was really fun especially for non fiction. Then there are always fun projects to do with family like building a shed in your backyard or renewable energy projects for home. Enjoy the break. And if you want to come give a talk to aspiring high school interns you have got open invitation for that too.

Sagnik Nandy. Grateful to be working with you again. And speaking for the entire Docusign executive leadership team, we are very excited to partner with you to deliver the exciting potential we have at Docusign!
