It’s like the Disneyland of professional development. 🍔☕🎢 The best part? The people. I made new friends, expanded my network, and learned invaluable lessons. Networking isn’t just a buzzword – it’s a gateway to new opportunities and lifelong connections. To my Deloitte fam, if you ever get the chance to visit Deloitte University, don’t miss it! Hello Connections, On November 8, I completed my first six months at Deloitte. Here are a few lessons I would like to take away from my first six months at Deloitte:- 1) Having meaningful networks helps you to constantly grow - I am very grateful to have met great professionals at Deloitte who are outstanding in both their personal and professional lives. These people help you to better assess your strengths and weaknesses and support you in achieving your goals. 2) You need hobbies to rejuvenate yourself and perform better at your job - Whether you are learning an art form, playing a sport or reading, you need something to relax you and then come back with even more vigour. 3) Time management and discipline are key - To create a work-life balance, we need to be disciplined enough to make time for things we enjoy doing. 4) Appreciation and teamwork - A good team leader will always motivate you and get the best out of you by recognising your efforts. Investing time in building relationships with your team will help you manage projects smoothly. 5) Invest in your knowledge as an individual outside of your company - How much knowledge a person has to be recruited by another company is your true asset. 6) Patience is key - Be patient in good times and bad or while learning. People will realise today or tomorrow if you are worth it.
