🙌 Giving up is not an option! 💪 As Latin American professionals, we already know how difficult it will be to establish ourselves in the European market when we move abroad. And as women, it can be twice as hard. But here's a truth about us: we are resilient. We do our homework by researching, learning the language, and studying the specifics of the foreign market. We accept the challenge, starting from ground zero and adapting to the demands while we face interviews, endless hiring processes, and even scepticism. Karenine Weber has 15 years of experience and held a leadership position in Brazil. She started as a Junior Architect in Berlin and couldn't be happier after getting the first chance. That's a stroke of luck for her employer! "I had a leadership role in Brazil, and here I understand I am starting again. When I had the opportunity to move to Germany, I had friends with experience living in another country, and they all said that it was tough to enter the market. But I wanted to try something new. I knew there was still a language barrier, culture, and new techniques. Understanding that you must restart the game here in Germany is very important. I started learning German and decided to focus on the language acquisition. One day, I received an email from one of the companies I had interviewed with for a Junior Architect position. The person asked about my leadership experience, and I explained that I understood my role back in Brazil, but I am not in that position and need a chance here. I'm available to learn." #womenempowerment #livingabroad

March 12, 2024, 10:30 pm I'm getting ready to board a plane to start what will be more than 16 hours of travel time and the start of my 8-day business trip. Cali --> Bogotá --> Houston --> San Francisco - 16 hours of travel time - 4 planes and 2 airlines - 2 countries with different languages - Across 3 time zones With what objective? Do what matters the most; build relationships. Remote work is a privilege I don't take for granted. It's this very work style that allows me to be more present as a mom and wife. A work style that allows me to meet and mentor individuals from other countries otherwise I would have never met. It's the very work style that allows me to grow as a professional without having to sacrifice what's most important to me, my family. However, there's something about sitting across from someone with no distractions, enjoying the same aroma of coffee, and listening to how life somehow directed them to the path they are in now. There's nothing like noticing the small details a screen hides, like expression marks, or the slight changes in eye color when they laugh or concentrate. There's nothing like feeling a bit more connected to mentors, colleagues, and customers. We're all humans after all, and we all crave connection. This is why it was all worth it. For the next couple of days, I'll be sharing learnings from my 8-day business trip that taught me and reminded me of: 1. The importance of real-life interactions 2. The importance of a walk and talk with a colleague 3. The stories that can be shared while taking an Uber or the Subway 4. How much one can learn from the quality time shared during a team dinner A special thank you to Adnan and Fineas for providing this incredible opportunity, and allowing me to do things I never thought I'd be able to do. #businesstrips #learnings #relationships

🎬 The screen expands! Our 16th branch takes center stage in the City of Los Angeles! Next year, get ready for a new premiere in the city where every street corner is a cinematic scene! Los Angeles, renowned for its cinematic brilliance, will become the enchanting backdrop for our next adventure. Ranked as the second-largest city in the United States by population and the third worldwide in terms of GDP, Los Angeles shines not only on screen but also in the global economy. The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the two largest container ports in the United States, will play a crucial role in enabling us to better serve our clients in terms of both shipping frequency and destinations. Furthermore, with almost half of Angelenos having roots in Mexico and Central America, we're thrilled to play a part in relocating the familia— ¡y todo esto en español, por supuesto! In Los Angeles, we're not just moving belongings; we're crafting stories. Get ready to be the star of your own international moving journey! #LosAngeles #InternationalMoving #relocation

Are you thinking about moving to the US but are unsure about the important thigs like getting an affordable place to live that is also decent looking with the right amenities? 🤔 Making such a big decision from abroad is definitely very stressful, and you don't know if the place you chose is actually good enough until you get there, right? • So, our CEO Pati Garcia connected with former J1 Visa Participant Daniela Liberona for a valuable chat for Architect-US Interview Series where they discuss a variety of topics, one of them being how to choose a place to stay when you move to the US! Such a coincidence right?! 😆 • Our suggestion is always, don't do it before you get there! ❌ You can not and should not rely on pictures on the internet to show you the full truth about a house or an apartment. For such an important decision, it is literally where you will spend most of your time, you need to see it in person. So, instead of making a mistake and being stuck in a bad place, rent an Airbnb instead! Or a hotel room! But make sure it's something temporary and you can leave whenever you choose to. ✨ • There's nothing worse than being forced to live in a place that makes you feel depressed or uncomfortable...Follow Daniela and Pati's advice for a stress-free move to the USA! 🤩 • Let us know in the comments below if you have any more questions regarding this topic or something else you've always wondered about moving to America! 👇👇👇 • 📌 Watch Daniela Liberona's full chat and find more young architects inspiring interviews on our YouTube Channel at the link below!!!! • [ Link in the first comment below! ] • #architect_us #usavisa #j1visa #usajobs #interviewseries

Have you thought about taking an international job assignment? Some of the cultural differences might surprise you in a good way! "Working in the office here is different than working in the States," said a software engineer working with Crossworld in Central Asia. "In the States, there's a lot of separation. You get into work, you do your thing, you put in eight hours, and then after work you go make friends. Here the office is the social place." What does that cultural difference mean for a believer? You don't have to wait until after work to make disciples. "We come into the office and work for a few hours, then take a coffee break. Then we work some more and have lunch and go for a walk. Then we have chai break in the afternoon. There's a lot of community time, so this is my place of work and also my ministry." Do you want your workplace to be a place of ministry? Talk to us about how you can engage your profession and passions to make disciples overseas. #crossworld #allprofessions #workabroad
