The bank is offering this opportunity in the run-up to the government bond maturity date on September 4.   Specifically, anyone can pre-register until 20 August to receive a bonus, on top of the interest obtained by opening a digital promotional term account. There is no obligation connected with this pre-registration.   The announcement of the final interest will follow at the end of August, and it will be worth being patient until that date. Only then can the customer decide whether and how to open the promotional term account. Wise latest annual results are - as usual - a source of inspiration for the rest of the finance industry with their customer centricity: - 62% of transfer are instant (less than 20 seconds) | 83% of transfers now go through our network in less than 1 hour | 95% of transfers complete within a day - Time needed to perform onboarding checks: 13 hours before -> 2 hours in 2024 - Re-open onboarding for business users -> They closed it to improve the onboarding flow and avoid having people waiting too long which would hurt the customer experience. - Thanks to increasing automation, their cost are decreasing. BUT, the company will share part with their customers with a 2 basis point decrease. - As it would take banks years to implement a connection through the existing Wise APIs, they figured out a solution where now through connecting with Swift, banks can change their correspondent to Wise, which allows them to start dipping their feet into using the Wise infrastructure and sending volume through us. -> It is useless to be stubborn, just listen to the market - Interest rate are in a totally different place than they used to, Wise will share some of the value towards customer (while most banks are keeping it (or very slow to share it) for themselves ..) - Launch of Stock Asset to invest your cash into ETF stocks (to potentially enjoy higher gains than normal interest on cash) -> it represents already 20% of deposits If you want to read the full transcript, please check out https://lnkd.in/dT7fDj45

The U.S. lags behind other countries when it comes to real-time payments, according to a new Axios article by Felix Salmon But it doesn’t have to be this way. The U.S. can modernize our payment systems by enabling #directaccess for leading payment companies. Cash is still very popular in Europe. According to a recent survey by BearingPoint, cash is the most used payment method in Europe. Interestingly, countries that primarily speak German seem to have the highest usage of cash.
