Freeing leaders from the day-to-day to work on the business I Fractional GM I Vistage Peer Advisory Group Chair (KEY116 & KEY126)
Just because it’s in our field of vision, doesn't mean we see it. Because none of us is as smart as all of us. That’s why we need to harness the collective intelligence, to bring things to our attention and work out how we’re going to win. For me this is a core part of what I always valued about being a member of a peer advisory group with The Executive Connection (TEC): harnessing the collective intelligence in the room to shine light on what is sometimes right in front of you (and you just can’t see it), to then craft a winning set of actions the group will hold you to account for. Yesterday this very heart of TEC was perfectly captured in a cracking session by Rick Coker with KEY116 in Brisbane. Rick shared his knowledge on how to set and execute on strategy through three core pillars of success: strategy, people and execution. The session was timed to set members up for success as they go forth into the new financial year and make it the best one yet for them, their team, business and clients. Perhaps in a "democraship" full of "insultants" using rocks to deliver on the 20%? How are you setting yourself up for success in FY25? Perhaps a peer advisory group is part of the puzzle: https://lnkd.in/eSjbSHjR

Being a business owner is not all roses and awards - there are some hard truths you need to hear from coaches and advisors hoping you'll hear and take the help they are offering. Crossing the Goal Partners will help you look forward and take steps to score your touchdown exit. But before you can score that touchdown, you need a few first downs. Let's connect and together come up with what plays you'll be running for the next few downs.
HARD TRUTH... you may be proud of what you've done in the past, but really, no one cares about your "best place to work" award. You can be proud of the award... BUT for a successful ending, you need to need to make the case for the future potential of your business. https://bit.ly/3sAdd7q

We first drafted the Heretical Ideas we run our business by in 2017. Not always perfectly, but they hold. *** · Team First. · Profit is an outcome, not an objective. · The primary reason for growth is to provide opportunities for our people and to be able to attract the best talent, the best clients and the best opportunities. · Hire slow, fire fast. · Culture is our organization’s operating system. · Core Values (Credibility. Transparency. Kaizen. Ownership.) is a lens we should use for every decision we make. · New business opportunities: only brand side clients who are leaders in their space by market significance or commitment to innovation. · Be Glocal. · Remain specialized. · No, unless yes rather than yes, unless no.
