With the rise of AI and Machine Learning, it is of greater importance for us to keep learning. For me, staying a student even after graduating, allows me to stay friendly with the latest tech. In my first hand experience, efficiency can only be achieved by constantly educating oneself. This is why I am collaborating on a new project with students at Imperial College London; to better understand how we can utilise machine learning. For a brief overview, the research involves mechanisms to potentially enhance inventory management for companies with expansive stockpiles. I am excited to keep building this project and will be sure to update our findings soon.

🎓 Honors program students dive into AI at Fairsight 🤖 In my previous post, I introduced our new interview module and highlighted our commitment to innovation. Today, I'd like to share an important aspect that I overlooked - our collaboration with a talented group of students from the Honors program at the University of Oslo. 🔬 Under the expert guidance of Fredrik Asmaro and Cato Alexander Bjørkli, these students have spent the past two months analyzing Fairsight's use of AI in the interview process. This diverse group, representing fields such as mathematics, social science, biotechnology, psychology, and computer science, embodies the interdisciplinary approach essential to advancing assessment technologies. Such collaboration is exactly what the field of assessment needs. By bringing in expertise from different fields, we are ensuring a comprehensive and responsible integration of GenAI into assessment. I'm thrilled that these students are supporting Fairsight's approach to AI by providing valuable insights and suggestions for improvement. 🙌 A big thank you to this talented group for their hard work and dedication! PS: The picture behind the students is illustrating «autophagy» in AI-generated pictures of faces. Autophagy refers to the self-reinforcing cycle where AI systems increasingly consume and propagate their own synthetic outputs at the expense of human-generated data. This semester I am embarking on a self study program with The University of Texas at Austin and Texas McCombs School of Business to research and document the implications and potential applications of Artifical Intelligence in the real estate sector, keeping a broad focus across brokerage, acquisitions&divestitures, development, and proptech. This research project in conjunction with my real estate practicum, positions as portfolio manager for the McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund and Investment Analyst Intern at Mathias Partners, will give me real first hand insight to these topics. A part of the analysis will first introduce a few different artificial intelligence models including generative AI(ChatGPT) and Natural Language Processing, and differentiate the fine line between Automation and AI. The project is exciting because I will be able to document the feasibility of tools currently available and discover paths for new innovation.

We delved into how generative AI can potentially reshape access to information and education, highlighting both opportunities and significant challenges. We also highlighted the current global policy landscape regarding Gen AI and higher education. We concluded with the remarks "In the hallowed halls of academia, the permanence of Generative AI is undeniable. Our task now, as stewards of knowledge, is to shepherd this formidable tool towards the noble aim of inclusivity." As the CEO of the Auburn Artificial Intelligence Initiative Club at Auburn University, I collaborated with fellow classmates and friends to establish this new club on Auburns campus in August 2023. Recognizing the immense power of AI in modern technology and its increasing presence in various fields, we aimed to introduce our generation to this transformative tool and educate them on its applications and responsible usage. Our mission was clear: AI streamlines repetitive tasks, enhancing efficiency and enabling humans to focus on more complex and creative endeavors. As AI continues to evolve, it will inevitably reshape the job landscape, creating new opportunities alongside automation. By keeping abreast of AI advancements, we equip ourselves for future professional endeavors that will undoubtedly be influenced by this technology. In essence, our goal was to unite Auburn students and transform a perceived weakness into a remarkable strength by fostering understanding and proficiency in artificial intelligence.
