2nd in Command Integrator - Interim/Fractional Transformation Change Agent Leading and Delivering Impactful Results
Looking for some research help from my network - True healthcare coordinators/ orchestrators / technology that cross the patient continuum of care - from a patient questioning a symptom to understanding what type of care, tests, providers, wellness etc. , regardless of system and across multiple even competing systems, providers, insurance, medicare/caid, billing, pbm, clinic, condition, etc. Challenge (for all of us): Navigating the disparate and self-fulfilling health systems is daunting even for those that know the individual system(s) the best. What platforms are truly patient-centric and help navigate across and within this maze? (Not exclusive to a particular system or provider). What platforms promote transparency in fees (again across systems) and choice in services?

Here are some of the most common precursors to poor lead quality for healthcare orgs: *Mismatch between what the lead wants and what you offer - This applies to each stage of the patient journey. Sometimes a patient wants to learn. Sometimes they just want to BOOK AN ONLINE APPOINTMENT. If you’re not meeting their needs and intent at every step, your lead-gen metrics will suffer. *Messaging that over promises or inaccurately describes your offering - Trust is everything in our industry. If a lead enters your pipeline expecting to consult with a surgeon but can’t get an appointment or if your website says you offer a service that you really don’t anymore? Come on now. *Messaging doesn’t provide enough detail - The biggest example here hands down is providers that don’t mention insurance information on their sites or HOW IT VARIES BY STATE. Patients also want and need information about payment options. #digitalmarketing #healthcare #broitsnotthathard

🔷🔷A few observations from the attached (published) JAMA Study: 🔷A. Insurance contracts that promise steerage via discounts and network agreements are likely NOT as effective in getting steerage to the health system when compared to the steerage achieve by the acquisition of referring primary care providers. Said differently, if you want steerage, purchase the upstream referral source and keep your prices. 🔷B. Steerage within vertically integrated health systems is real and statistically significant. 🔷C. It is likely (but not a study conclusion) that vertically integrated systems have less need to aggressively contract with payers for discounts in exchange for volume, rather, can achieve volume assurances from required referrals with or without payer discount arrangements. 🔷D. It is more likely that organized PCP's (forming a risk-based contacting unit - either ACO or CIN) can effectively manage downstream costs when compared to vertically integrated healthcare systems. #valuebasedcare #healthcare #marketconsolidation #verticalintegration Roger Hau Brad Springer Chris Nez, MSN, MHA, RN
