A lot of people are hesitant to talk to FAs because of fear of judgement if they’ve made mistakes with their money. So I’m just going to put a pin in that conversation and lay my most embarrassing money mistake out here…click below! No one is immune. What’s your biggest money mistake? One of our biggest money mistakes was purchasing a vacation timeshare. We were pitched while vacationing in Lake Tahoe. Newly married. Thriving careers. No clue what our life goals were let alone our money goals. We had NO business buying that timeshare in our early 20s – that ended up costing us $30k, with a new mortgage, vehicle debt, student loans, high debt-to-income, etc etc.But we did. Because we didn’t have a plan. We had no goals. We had no clue what we were doing. To this day I wish we had a financial advisor at the time who we could have worked with early on to help us determine what was important to us, what were our goals, did this make sense? But we didn’t. So after all was said and done (because oh yeah we had to pay $1,000 EVERY year, as a maintenance fee… LOL) would have saved us $30k.The best thing we did was pay that off, pay another $1k to get out of the timeshare, and realize they just made BANK on us.All that to say, having someone you can lean on for financial advice can seriously save you tens of thousands of dollars in money mistakes, the earlier you start. We’re all going to make mistakes, and that’s sometimes how we learn best. But why not have a resource you can lean on to help prevent SOME of them? That’s why I’m so passionate about this career, my drive to help people get in better situations so they don’t have to learn the hard way.Book an appointment for a judgement free space and environment to share, learn and grow in! DM me to get started!

Medical Device Sales I Passionate about Women's Health I Empowering women to pursue their dream career ⚡️
If your life was perfect, you wouldn’t have anything to work towards. As I was driving to the grocery store on Sunday, I took a moment of gratitude to reflect on the incredible things that have happened in my life lately. (More to come on some really exciting life changes- stay tuned!) I took a moment to allow myself to be okay with the struggles I go through. When my mind takes me somewhere that isn’t super positive, or when I stress about money. Because I’m human. Then, I told myself “If your life was perfect, you wouldn’t have anything to work towards”. And it hit me like a ton of bricks. I immediately pulled over (safely) and wrote those words in my notes app. What a beautiful revelation. Maybe my business isn’t where I want it to be yet, but that means I get to work towards growing it and impacting more people every single day. Maybe my “Bali body” (visiting for my first time in October- any and all suggestions welcome!!) isn’t where I want it to be yet, but that means I get to prioritize my health and fitness to achieve amazing results. Maybe my student loans aren’t paid off yet (SO CLOSE) but that means I get to choose to be smart about my money and work hard to continue paying them off. Maybe YOU haven’t landed your dream job yet, but that means you get to show up every single day and learn more about yourself and work hard to make those dreams happen. Allow yourself more grace. Take on challenges as the opportunity to learn and grow. embrace every single day to work towards your goals and experience life’s ups and downs. Life is meant to be a constant learning experience. Enjoy the ride 😊 #careercoach #medicalsales #jobsearch

I once achieved the American Dream… I graduated college… With a degree of which I had no desire to pursue a career with… Had student loan debt… Found a “good” job… Making enough to live paycheck to paycheck… Month to month… Was this it? I was stressed… Didn’t feel any sort of fulfillment. Was too concerned making ends meet to think about “purpose”. Had a beautiful girlfriend of six years I wanted to ask to marry me but was too ashamed I couldn’t provide her the life she deserved. But… I kept asking myself the two most important questions one can ask of himself: 1.) is this the opportunity that will take care of myself and my family for the rest of our lives? 2.) am I spending the appropriate amount of time looking for them at opportunity? My answer to #1 was “No”… My answer to #2 was “Yes”… So I kept searching… Kept developing skills… Kept bettering myself… I read. Found mentors. Listened to educational podcast and recordings. Armed with knowledge and a better understanding of what opportunity looked like, I was able to spot an opportunity when it knocked… When it knocked at my door… It liked who it saw… A man trying his hardest….making no excuses…treating each step along his journey as it were just as important as his end goal. When opportunity knocks on your door will it like who it sees? How about when you knock on the door of opportunity? Will it invite you in? Think on these things… Don’t give up on your desires. Don’t give up on your dreams. Life is not about a destination, rather… Life is about the journey. Set clear goals for yourself. Don’t ever stop working towards those goals. Learn goals are just as much about the pursuit as they are about the achievement. Learn to love the pursuit. That’s it. That’s all. Felt someone may have needed to read this :)

What do you say when someone asks you: "Where do you see yourself five years from now?" Almost 6 years ago, I had just wrapped up planning season at work and thought, "We spend so much time planning the future for work, why don't we do this for our own lives?" So my husband, Michael Burke, and I sat down at our kitchen table and brainstormed our "5-year plan" which spanned everything from getting a dog to paying off my student loans. Take a look and tell me what you see. It's crazy how much we truly own our destiny when we are intentional about what we really want in life. Most of the things on this list have been accomplished with the exception of traveling to all those countries. My two favorite goals on this list? 2. "Kelly starts career coaching." 5. "Take a sabbatical." If I ever start to feel anxious about the future, I'll look at this list as a reminder that I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. ---- Ready to take your future back into your own hands?
