Vice President, Engineering

It’s great to be back at Qualcomm HQ in San Diego. I had the opportunity to meet our CEO and President Cristiano R. Amon and present him with a gifts from University College Cork. A gift of his surname on an Ogham Stone wooden replica and a book on George Boole from Emanuel Popovici and John O'Halloran. Ogham stone writing is a writing system created for an early form of the Irish language. Ireland’s earliest ogham inscriptions approximately date back to somewhere between the 4th and the 7th century AD. While George Boole was a self-taught mathematician, philosopher, and logician, who spent most of his career as the first professor of mathematics at Queen's College, Cork, which is now University College Cork.   I enjoyed meeting up with Alex Rogers, Baaziz Achour and Ajay Bawale again, as well as Cristiano’s Leadership team, all the SOC Leads and teams. The Qualcomm campus was in full bloom. It was also great to see members of my own team in San Diego, David Guthrie and Alie El-Din Mady on their travels, and Fiona Collins from OneIT who is missing Cork after transferring to San Diego a few years ago 😀   It was great to get a tour of the on-site servers from Cisco Sanchez and the OneIT team. Thanks to Claudia Ravazzini for her extensive work in organizing my many meetings with the team of fantastic EAs in San Diego, and to my team in Cork for prepping so well ahead of time for my meetings during this trip, and special mention also for Aileen Kelly-O'Sullivan.   Qualcomm, We are limitless.   Aaron Hogan Ray McCarthy John O'Shea Darran McMahon Keith O'Donoghue John Holland Ger Baldwin Jarbas Pinheiro Katherine Jangcan, Manu Prakash Jalal BENALLAL, Andriy Temko Cristiano Santos Angelo Greco Nandyala Guptha Vivekanand Sean Minehane Olivier Compagnon Colm O'Keeffe Fachtna Healy Khosrov D.
