Showing appreciation and recognition is a simple yet powerful way to motivate and engage employees. Personalised gestures can go a long way in making individuals feel valued. Today, I received an email from my coach success manager at BetterUp, celebrating my work anniversary with the company. It didn't take a lot of time, but the concept of finding opportunities to celebrate such as this is a great example of ways that even big, global organisations can connect in a meaningful way. Yes, it was likely semi-automated but this small but important signal speaks volumes about the culture of the company, and how individuals are valued. To me it shows that they want to find points of connection to reach out. I’ve shared a snippet here that connects individual work to the overall impact of the business.
