STRIKING A BALANCE BETWEEN SHORT-TERM PROFITABILITY AND LONG-TERM FORESIGHT When a customer's complaint is processed through our separate management systems, it becomes fragmented, much like light passing through a prism, resulting in a spectrum of perspectives. This fragmented representation makes it difficult to fully grasp the complete picture from any single viewpoint, let alone formulate a coherent response. To address this challenge, it's essential to reconstruct these fragmented perspectives and develop a unified response that represents our integrated solution to the customer's issue. The Dual-Prism Framework, which emphasizes the importance of both short-term defenders and long-term prophets, may not end the battle between the two camps, but I remain optimistic. After all, we are only human. The framework also explains what I mean by leading from the whole. My formula for whole-system thinking is now complete: Leading from the Whole = Directing from the Top + Innovating from the Bottom + Navigating from the Middle.
