Job Title: Senior Cloud Software Engineer Location: Durham, NC and Merrimack, NH are preferred, Westlake, TX if can't do NC or MMK (HYBRID) Relevant exp: Senior level, 13+ years minimum would be ideal. Python or Golang expertise in development is required; Java is no longer suitable for this position. Strong AWS cloud skills in API Gateway and Lambda are also required. Furthermore, they should be fluent in Observability inside Splunk, Data Dog, Prometheus, etc. By no means an expert, but some knowledge or experience will be required. We need a dedicated engineer to assist with developing and expanding our public cloud platforms. Building scalable systems to provide observability across the organisation is the responsibility of this engineering team. The group handles a variety of challenges that need for engineers to create original engineering solutions or to expand on existing open-source solutions. The most suitable candidates will have experience developing software engineering products and a solid understanding of observability concept. Ideal for full-stack developers, with the chance to work mostly on backend and front-end development. The Expertise We’re Looking For (Relevant recent strong 12+ exp – MANDATORY) • 8 or more years of actual, hands-on expertise setting up and/or maintaining large-scale, highly dispersed multi-tiered systems. • Extensive expertise and practical understanding in creating solutions using Python or Golang. • Any experience using open source. • Using a design thinking attitude while creating solutions that are robust and scalable • Practical expertise of logging and metrics data models as well as experience with tracing, metrics, and logging frameworks. • Observability experience with Prometheus, Data Dog, or Splunk.
