Another study says this vendor is great. So what? NAC is the first step of C2C’s 3 most important functions: find it, categorize and assess it, automate it. Most people don’t don’t know that C2C means “comply to connect and REMAIN”. We created with the DOD what the policies are. We packaged them. We update them constantly and deploy rationally. We have a lot of work to do after 3 years with the PMO but we have a process to move all 8 different types of endpoint. REMAIN is the ROI. Are assets’ posture/hygiene constantly assessed and updated? Probably not. It’s not the technology. It’s the commitment by leadership to lead the users through the constant improvement of the infrastructure. This isn’t a downtime issue. It’s lean logistics for IT. This is kaizen for infrastructure. It’s hard and it’s not for the IT workers to decide tolerances of REMAINING to be connected. It’s management commitment to improve the infrastructure with constant consistent rule enforcement via automation. Everyone hates rules and automation when it’s hard to decide what the policy is. That’s why we helped DoD to create the best policies for today for their infrastructure. Change of policies is a constant but it’s the automation that pays for the effort 10-fold. Want to exceed the minimum CCRI? NIST? Use Mitre Attack? We can and have. The policies for NAC and RADIUS are here. Want automation? It’s not a tech problem anymore.
