#zerodiscrimination UNAIDS | On March 1, we celebrate Zero Discrimination Day, an occasion dedicated to celebrating the universal right of every individual to lead a dignified and fulfilling life. This day serves as a platform to emphasize the importance of promoting inclusion, compassion, peace, and instigating a transformative movement for change. Through Zero Discrimination Day, a global momentum is cultivated, inspiring solidarity to eradicate all forms of discrimination. The 10th anniversary of Zero Discrimination Day is marked by the theme "To protect everyone's health, protect everyone's rights." This annual event, observed internationally, underscores the critical link between health and human rights, advocating for the well-being and equal treatment of all. Initiated in 2014 by the United Nations General Assembly, Zero Discrimination Day was established to champion equality and underscore the vital role individuals and societies play in upholding the principle of zero discrimination. https://lnkd.in/gWEuwNwj This principle, rooted in the belief that everyone deserves equal and respectful treatment, regardless of characteristics such as race, gender, age, sexual orientation, or any other discriminatory factor, remains at the core of the day's significance. As part of a global campaign, Zero Discrimination Day strives to eliminate discrimination in all its forms, working towards a world that is more just and equitable for everyone. By raising awareness and promoting diversity and inclusivity, this day contributes to fostering a collective commitment to creating a society where every individual is treated with dignity and respect. 👉 Check out our next post to learn how we align our services with Zero Discrimination Day. #ZeroDiscrimination #ProtectHumanRights #ProtectHealth #diversity #Inclusion #sustainability #certification #ZeroDiscriminationDay

From International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women until Human Rights Day #16Days, Emerging Public Leaders stands with the United Nations, UN Women, World Health Organization, and other partners globally and calls for the end to violence against women and girls. 1 in 3 women worldwide are affected by preventable physical and/or sexual violence. By investing in the education of girls and women, equal employment opportunities, mindset shifts, and public policies to protect and effectively respond to violence against women, an end to all kinds of violence is possible. #EndViolence

🌍 Today, as we observe the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering a world where diversity is celebrated and every individual is treated with dignity and respect. Recent events, like the racially insensitive remarks towards Diane Abbott and the treatment towards her in the House of Commons, highlight the systemic racism that persists in our communities and workplaces. It is our responsibility to actively confront and dismantle structures of racial discrimination. At EDM Healthcare Consulting, we embrace our multicultural team as a strength and advocate for equality. Let's use this day to educate, engage, and take action for a more inclusive society. Together, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. #FightRacism #EliminateRacism #InclusionMatters #EqualityForAll #InternationalDayAgainstRacialDiscrimination #EndRacialDiscrimination #InclusionMatters

Hello Friends, Today on Zero Discrimination Day, we celebrate the resilience of survivors and advocate for a world free from all forms of discrimination. At the heart of this movement, is a survivor-led organization dedicated to championing inclusivity and abolishing the barriers that bring discrimination Embracing diversity; A survivor's journey As an organization, we believe that Survivors with their unique experiences, bring a powerful perspective to the fight against discrimination. The experiences inspire a world where differences are not just accepted but celebrated. We honor strength and courage in overcoming adversity. Addressing root causes Zero Discrimination Day serves as a reminder to address the root causes of discrimination, whether based on race, sexual orientation, gender, etc. Our approach ensures that solutions are created with firsthand knowledge, fostering a more effective and compassionate response. Empowering through Advocacy We advocate for equal rights and opportunities for every survivor. By amplifying our voices as survivors, we highlight the importance of empathy, understanding, and partnership in our collective journey toward a more inclusive society. #zerodiscrimination #inclusionmatters # SurvivorLed Change #Solidaritywithsurvivors #Solidaritywithwomen #Endhumantrafficking #advocacy #advocacymatters

In light of the upcoming International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, I would like to highlight the racism and sexism that intersectional women face. A key risk factor is the threat to their safety, from aggression, especially in public places, public transport etc.; in the form of random verbal and unfortunately in some instances, physical attacks. It is critical that a national reporting system is put in place for individuals to, without any hesitation regarding their safety, report on micro aggressions as well as overt discrimination/ macro-aggressions. Social media continues to play a major role in promoting incidents of aggression towards intersectional women. Such incidents include group gaslighting ( specifically by males demonstrating toxic masculinity traits). Social media companies need to be held accountable for allowing such behaviours. A code of conduct for civil, respectful behaviour in public spaces needs to be established. #sdgs2030 Goal 11
