As we advance towards achieving AGI, the line between virtual simulations and reality could blur even further. Our team of Casper Rutjes, Nathalie Cohen, and Tom van der Woude had an inspiring visit to Nvidia's Munich office, where we delved into cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future, spanning from Generative AI to Robotics. We witnessed firsthand how Nvidia's advancements are paving the way for a future limited only by our imagination.   Some of the things that stood out most for us: 1. 2024 will be the year that organisations will bring GenAI from experimentation into production, and frameworks are there to help you with that. For example, Nvidia’s NeMo platform makes finetuning existing GenAI models, optimising inference performance and scalable deployment much easier. This ease of use will enable organisations to experiment with finding the right model for their use cases and creates the possibility to optimise for cost-efficiency. 2. The availability of diverse and labelled data needed for training advanced AI models no longer needs to be a bottleneck thanks to synthetic data generation. Nvidia’s Omniverse platform can generate photorealistic, annotated, and physically accurate 3D data from virtual simulations. This allows organisations to greatly reduce the costs of acquiring and labelling data, as well as increase model accuracy. 3. Nvidia's commitment to accelerating companies' AI Roadmap shines through their introduction of NIMs—a fully optimised container deployable on any Kubernetes cluster, regardless of where your cluster is running. This tackles significant infrastructure and portability challenges that companies face when deploying GenAI applications built on large language and computer vision models. 4. The cherry on top was that we got to look at some state-of-the-art self-driving cars. The sheer amount of data being processed to train the models that are used in these cars is incredible. Also, the way that the field of AI transfers into the physical world was very inspirational.   The depth of knowledge and innovation at Nvidia is inspiring. We are excited about future collaborations and the potential benefits for our clients, driving transformation, efficiency, and innovation.
