You will be able to involve viewers with hearing loss in your content, and other viewers might prefer it too if sound is likely to disturb the people around them. 📺 Shaping Perspectives, One Screen at a Time! At Get Skilled Access (GSA), we're thrilled to be a part of the groundbreaking Shift 20 Initiative, a pioneering movement that's redefining disability representation within the Australian media landscape. Astonishingly, just 1% of advertisements feature individuals with disabilities, despite nearly 20% of Australians having disability. This glaring disparity calls for a transformative shift in how we perceive and portray disability. We've closely collaborated with Shift20, crafting inclusive and accessible resources and offering expert guidance in accessibility, marketing, and communications to drive meaningful change. Let's explore how we, at GSA, can elevate your inclusivity efforts and make a lasting impact for your brand. The path to a more inclusive Australia starts with a conversation - https://lnkd.in/gAmCnku Together, we will illuminate the path to a more inclusive Australia! 💪 Learn more about Shift20: https://shift20.org/ #Shift20Initiative #DisabilityInclusion #GetSkilledAccess #GSA #ChangeMakers Dylan Alcott Foundation

Did you know that 20% of people worldwide live with a disability? Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend one of our #Diversity, #Equity, #Inclusion, and #Belonging (DEIB) workshops organized by Clémentine Maunier & Amanda Gerlinger. Imagine the challenges that some tasks pose for people due to a lack necessary tools and equipment to meet their needs. In both public and private institutions, discussions often revolve around budgets, cost constraints, and effectiveness, often overlooking their impact on people. However, the reality is that visible or invisible disabilities affect one out of every five individuals—this could happen to any of us. As pointed out by one of the presenters, a simple moment of excitement of jumping could result in a broken leg, completely altering one's life. Educating ourselves and raising awareness about this issue can profoundly influence our local communities, companies, and even entire industries. The video below perfectly illustrates some of my thoughts. Please feel free to leave a comment or contact me directly if you'd like to share your own story or have a better understanding of the initiatives at Hult EF in this matter.

#Subtitles are a great example in why accessibility is important for all. Often, features associated with/developed for Persons with Disabilities end up becoming relevant for the non-disabled, and vice-versa. We will be sharing more examples of this as part of our #AccessibilityForEveryone series of posts. This particular video covers some very interesting bits around naturalism and advancements in technology necessitating better accessibility!! Yes, necessitating instead of facilitating. Enjoy this one. #UniversalDesign #DigitalAccessibility Credits: Vox

I help Leaders tell their Story🏆 Best-selling author, 'Business Storytelling from Hype to Hack' 🎯 Narrative Leadership for Growth & Change💡Sell Your Idea | Keynote Speaker 🎤 Featured by WSJ/Fox/AlJazeera/BBC
Yesterday a workshop participant told us about a pivotal moment. As a child, he assumed kings and presidents were made from different cloth. Then he realised they're just like everyone else. Humanising top achievers - by hearing their story - made him realise he could be a top #performer, too. Through my professional association of children's writers, Autillus, our initiative #StorytellingSchweiz has now reached over 1'000 teenagers directly in person. So more #youth understand they can make history, because they are human and humans write history. There's no time like Today to tell a #story. Even better, decide to start a #storytelling habit. Start a story collection that will save you and your entire department or organisation time. We forget 95% of what we read, hear, and experience. Stories help change that. One of my big regrets is not having started my own 'story bank' much earlier in life. Bonus: Collecting personal and professional stories will slow down time and enrich your life! Happy #worldstorytellingday ! 🤗

When it comes to community engagement, asking the right questions can be crucial. We need to remove language barriers to ask the right people the right questions for healthier conversations and smarter solutions.
